"After 20 years with the same old fly rod, I have been shopping for a new fly rod and reel over the last two months. I thought I had made up my mind on a certain brand and model until I went to our local Bass Pro Shop. From the time I picked up the CV2 rod and reel outfit I was sold. It is awesome!!! Perfect balance and feel and I didn't have to mortgage my house to purchase it. You really blew me away with this one. I feel certain I will be using this rod and reel for the next 20 years. "A few years ago I decided I wanted to get into fly fishing. I bought the best rod and reel combo I could afford...this one. I don't regret it at all. I got the 5 piece version. Go with that if you travel. It's wonderful."

"I recently purchased a 9'5-wt outfit and was hooked-up even before the first cast. It would definitely have cost me a great deal more money to match the quality of this rig in a more "fashionable" label. The materials, workmanship and feel of the outfit are outstanding.
As for on-the-water performance... what a pleasure! Great balance, smooth drag system, distance and/or precision on demand. The CV2 outfit has it all. I only wish it came with more fishing time built-in. Ha!
