Love it!,July 16, 2009
By ArmyAngelfrom Hammond, LA
Advantages: Ease of use, Quality, Value for money, Well made/Durable
"I bought this tent for my first camping trip. My friends and I went to Ireland for two weeks, and we camped half the time. It rained pretty heavily for a couple of days and nights in a row, and I stayed perfectly dry the entire time. It also stayed comfortable during the heat of the day, and even though my friends (who are much more experienced campers than I) warned me that the inside of my tent would be wet with condensation in the mornings, this never happened. It's easy to put together and take a part, and packs well."

Good. Three stars for the tent pole...,January 1, 2009
By MRainsfrom Oklahoma
"I am new to backbacking and I didn't know where to start when looking for a tent. I saw this, saw the price, read the reviews, and decided to get it. I am not a minimalist or anything, but I love the compact size and weight of this tent. It is pretty easy to set up. However, take down was a problem for me. Everything went well until I tried to take out the longer pole near the front zipper door. It was very hard to get out... so much so that the pole actually broke and tore through the fly of the tent. I was going to return the tent, but decided against it because I love the size, weight, and easy set up so much. I ended up cutting off the inch or so that broke on the pole, then wrapped what was left in duct tape. This solved all my problems. The pole is now short enough for easy tear down, but still long enough to hold the shape and frame of the tent.
Over all I think this tent is great. When I have more money and more experience under my belt, I might upgrade, but for now, I really enjoy this tent. I would recommend this tent for any of my friends (if they know how to use duct tape)."

Betterr than a bivy, lighter than a tent,March 25, 2008
By evitsofrom Houghton, Mi
"This is a great tent for ultralight and solo treks. Because it's a bivvy style tent, you won't have all the spacious luxuries of a normal tent, but it's almost a pound lighter than most other solo tents and is still bigger than other bivvy tents. It keeps warm in cold weather, and cool in hot weather. I haven't had any problems with water leaking in, but I do recommend spraying the tent with a silicon spray before you use it. On top of all of this, its very easy to set up and packs very small. To cut even more weight from the tent, I recommend using aluminum tent stakes instead of the stakes that come with the tent. I've used this tent for over a year with no flaws or problems. It's a great tent for the money and I would recommend it to any avid hiker or backpacker."

the discount japenese hotel tent,October 7, 2007
By Anonymousfrom Massachusets
"this tent takes about a total of two minutes to set up, it's in a Bivy style. but it is literally like sleeping in a yellow coffin. because it's so small, your body heats this tent up very quickly and keeps it warm. just be sure to be able to have a place to get ready for bed and store your gear, because it's not possible to do it inside this tent. what's really amazing about this tent is the size it packs up into the packed size is about from your elbow to your finger tips and maybe only as wide as your fist. one DIY essential is a heavy-duty contractor garbage bag. they are the same width as the tent and when cut down the seams, to form one long strip of heavy duty plastic. you can use the strip of plastic as a ground cloth when you fold the excess under the tent. this is a must have for any ultralight campers out there, you can't beat the price either. the only real gotcha is just make sure the fly is correctly positioned, especially on cold nights, or you will be frozen by morning. meaning check it from the inside, make sure you see as little of your surroundings out side where your tent is on both sides."

Great little tent,August 5, 2007
By SteelCandy
"It says it is a 3 season tent but this last Easter weekend ( 2007 ) the temp dropped to 13 degrees and I was as snug as can be. Woke up to over 2 inches of snow and temps under 20 degrees. The only thing I would change about this tent is it is about 3 inches too short ( heightwise - the only thing keeping this from getting a perfect rating ) for me. Easy set up, lightweight and as I said before it can handle chilly weather. I plan on using this tent for years!"

Worth the money,February 22, 2007
By Hootman
"The first time I used this tent, I got my monies worth. It rained and stormed 4 of the 5 nights I was in it and never leaked. There was a small amount of seepage from an entry zipper, but nothing uncomfortable. I’ve used it several times since w/no problems. It’s a breeze to set up. The top zipper is great if you store things in it during the day. If you are a “bigger” person (I come in at 240) and claustrophobic, this is not the tent for you."

Light weight Solo Tent,July 7, 2006
By Big Dogfrom Hershey, Pa
"Backpacking Light, Logging lots of miles then consider the Eureka Solitaire. I just returned from New Mexico and weathered 4 hail storms without a problem using this tent. The profile of this tent helps you fit into areas using "No impact camping skills". It's compact size also allows minimum time setting up and taking down allowing you to get out and stay out enjoying the outdoors. Add a Tyvek ground cloth and you have yourself a handy, lightweight, comfortable backpacking shelter."
