Perfect for stashing in the car,April 12, 2006
By PondFishermanIllinoisfrom Northern Illinois
"I got one of these for Christmas, and just came in to see if they had another one. This is perfect for throwing in a backpack, or just in the trunk of your car for those little "opportunities" that can present themselves when you might not have brought your regular outfit along. The reel is rated for between 2 and 6lb test, and seems happiest with 4lb. There is more play in the reverse than I normally like, so you might want to upgrade the reel to something a bit more solid, but then again this isn't a muskie rod. I mostly use it for pond exploration if I happen by some new water, and this can tear up panfish all day long, where a ripping hookset isn't all that important. Due to the small size, this combo is also real nice for kids, and is of far better quality than most of the other kid combos out there. There are also some small spaces in the case for some tackle, so just throw in a few hooks, floats, and split shots and you're ready to go."

Outstanding rod and reel,December 3, 2007
By TexasMeecefrom Texas
"The little rod is AWESOME . Caught several large white bass first day out . The reel held up to all of them with no problems . I've fished with it for a year now and am buying one for my son . I carry it in my truck all the time without worring about breaking the tip off . Enough room for a few lures and hooks in the box . I recomend it to anyone that goes camping or canoeing . You won't be sorry ."

Small pole big heart,January 22, 2007
By KrauseTheDestroyer
"the other day i took my little brother fishing for his first time in years. we went out the mouth of this river and a small lake near my hometown. after about 10 min of casting i cought my first fish with this rod, a 6lb 21.5'' bass! i couldnt believe it! he was an amazing fighter and took me a couple of minutes to reel him in. at no point did i think the rod was going to break or that this fish was gonna get away. this little rod has a lot of potential and i am very pleased with its preformance. there is a lot of space to put tackle. i have 5 lures 2 worms some hooks, swivles and weights. i also like being able to go hikeing for a couple hours and finding a nice little stream where i can throw in a line. i love this pole."
