"Great rod for the money. High quality and easy to throw. Several guides I know use this rod for clients. If it gets broken, $25.00 replaces the rod. Perfect for either an entry level rod or for those more experienced."

"This is the 3rd fly rod that I've bought and it is my favorite. I've had my series one TFO for 3 years now and it feels better every time I throw it. You can't beat TFO's price, quality, and warranty. These are great fly rods."

This SHOULD have been my first rod...,March 27, 2009
By Deredocfrom Cookeville, TN
"I originally purchased one of the dogwood canyon setups at my local BPS. It was a fine setup, but I wasn't getting the distance I wanted from my cast. I ended up talking to one of the guys in the fly shop about it. He recommended I try the TFO Series One.
I did, and I got that extra distance I was hoping for. This rod has been great!. I was suprised to see an entry level rod come with a lifetime warranty. I wish I had bought this rod first. I would definately recommend this product."

Great Entry Level Rod,February 9, 2009
By FisherKing17from West Virginia
"This was the first fly rod I ever owned, and it was a good purchase. Since then I've fished many different brands of rods, and I'm still impressed with it, and most TFO rods in general. It handles like some of the mid-range G. Loomis rods at a mere fraction of the cost, and the warranty is the best in the market in my opinion. I bought the 7'9 4 wt for wild trout and I still have a hard time putting it down. The only that that could improve this rod would be a 4 piece version. Beginner or expert, this rod is a great purchase."

Great rod!,July 3, 2008
By flyfshnfrom Ballwin, MO
"I purchased the 7'6 3# about 3 years ago for small stream fishing. I was going to use it a couple weeks ago and while I was stringing it up, I noticed a crack at the end of the rod....first cast, it broke. Sent it back to Temple Fork and within 1 week, they sent me a replacement.......a brand new rod! You won't find a better rod, especially at this price."

great rod,June 24, 2008
By jdavis22from Clanton, AL
"I am new to trout fishing and have been using a combo deal that I bought at a discount store. I never knew how much of a difference good equipment could make. Being a working stiff, I had to go with the low price of the signature series and if the more expensive rods are any better than this, they will exceed my ability. You just can't beat this quality of rod at this price with a lifetime warranty. I will be in the market for another one as soon as possible."

Under Priced,June 15, 2008
By MUDFLAPfrom Central Ohio-Go Bucks
"I bought the 4wt about a year ago. Very sensetive and casts very well. As with any fly rod, you need to be careful not to break the tip.
I just recently bought the 10wt for a trip to the Keys. I expect it to perform very well.
For the price any fly fisher will enjoy this TFO."

FANTASTIC!,April 8, 2008
By Crockfrom New Albany IN.
"I bought a 5wt. and loaded it with 6wt, WOW, I am making 50 to 70 ft. casts and maintaining 6 to 8 inch loops!, I am very budget bound as far as my toys so they must give much bang for the buck, This is one great little rod and any beginner or old salt can cast well with this one, So little effort is needed, I will be replacing my reddington 8/9 wt before the end of spring."

Excellent Rod,March 10, 2008
By TNTroutmanfrom TN
"I purchased this rod a year or so ago and it is my favorite. I chose the 3wt and it so sensitive it makes fighting even a small fish fun. I have found it both sensitive and strong. I landed a carp of over 2 feet after a long battle using this rod. The rod casts well and has performed perfectly for me. I would highly recommend this rod to anyone."

Fine casting lil' rod,August 27, 2007
By Pa. brookie seeker
"I fish this rod with cortland 444SL 3wt. wt. forward line and a Hobbs Creek HCR1 reel and its the only combo I have fished since it was purchased a year ago. This little rod casts alot easier than most small rods yet has enough backbone to land a few 18-20" fish in a timely fashion. Most of the streams fished are smaller in tight quarters and this rod is excellent for this."

Rod breakage,July 16, 2007
By Mario
"The tip of my 3 weight rod broke about 9" from the tip and by coincidence I was speaking with someone who had the identical rod and theirs also broke in about the same place. Given the hassle of returning the rod and the replacement fee, I am not sure how much the warranty is worth."

TFO series 1 2wt 6',October 11, 2006
By NMFlyCasterfrom Albuquerque, NM
"I have this rod in a 2wt 6ft, matched to a Corland 444 Classic DT-2-F and a Basspro CV2 reel. This set up was the perfect addition to my arsenal for small stream fishing. It casts efortlessly and accurately, on small, brush covered streams, yet it still has plenty of backbone to fight 15-17 inch trout. I have 3 other TFO rods and they out perform all the high dollar rods I've tried. Look to TFO for a great rod at a great value."
