"i really like the action of the deep version of this bait. i've had fish biting this when no other bait seemed to work. i generally just steady crank it. it does seem to have a sorta weak bill though, that's why i gave it 4 stars instead of 5."

"The bait works well but dosen't handle any hard licks i had a fish throw the lure it hit the boat and broke the bill. this is the third one with the same problem. (all with coffin bills) i will not buy any more until the problem is corrected."

"went on fishing trip to ms. last week. we fished for 6 straight days. the lake was only opened 1 and half yrs. ago and has seen a lot of pressure for only 1100 arces in size. we threw everything at them but when i put this flat maxx or 300 series on it was on. we caught our limit each day. and several in the 18-22 inch slot. had to send friend to bps to get some more. not telling what color because it was the only 1 they would hit. had other fishermen watching and when we left the spot the didn't catch anything."

"In clear water, the baby bream color work unbelievable. It matches the white perch pattern. I have cought more Northerns, Largemouth on this then any lure.. including lucky's. The Shallow deflects well and has a large wobble when fished. It doesn't rise very fast, like the hundred series. It has a slow rise. This lure out produces the 200 series in white by farrrrr. I have only cought 1 one the white and 30-40 on the shallow flat maxx bream. Good Luck... this is my favorite lure...."

"Bandit years ago used to be the secret weapon of bass fishing. Now everyone sells them. This is by far one ot the best bass baits out there. Run true right out of the package. Nice color selection and a great action. The hooks are great to. They are durable and take alot to start to wear the paint down mainly war wounds. They are for sure one of my go to baits."

"Love this crankbait. I got color 52 and it looks just like a bluegill. The colors look better in person than on the computer. I cought a couple bass on this the other day in a lake where you can usually only get bass to bite small panfish lures."

"I have been using Bandit crankbaits for several years, and have used all of the different models and dozens of different colors. The paint is very tough, I've never broke a lip, every one has ran true right out of the box, and best of all, they catch a lot of fish. And what's even better, they aren't very expensive. The coffin lip does a great job of bouncing off of cover and creating reaction strikes. My only complaint is that they don't offer it in the Mistake color, my personal favorite for stained water."

"This crankbait will definetely always be in my arsenal of crankbaits. The action is first-class, and the color schemes are very good. Just find a pocket in some reeds or some vegetation that extends out of the water, and cast it in there. It's at it's best when you use a stop and go retrieve with a few pauses, twitches, and jerks here and there. If you are new to bass fishing, don't let the size of the crankbait dishearten you. I have caught 3/4 pounders of this lure."

"I tried out this lure in our private lake yesterday for the first time.Although I couldn't catch anything before it started raining,I saw a few quality features that I really like with this crankbait.First of all is the square lip.I really love this design when fishing through stumps,logs,and rocks.My main intent was to destroy this lure or get it snagged on a branch underwater.About twenty casts later into a mean looking laydown tree,I gave up.The thing wouldn't snag!Bandit was true to its word when they said they had made a crankbait that could bump through almost any kind of cover.Another quality feature I like is the unique rattling sound. Prior to this I had never heard a rattle quite like this.It is a nice,deep rattle that sounds as if they put a marble in it.To top it off it has a wiggle similar in many ways to a minnow bait.Not a really erratic action like that of other crankbaits,but kind of a smooth,wobbling action that is deadly in some situations.Great job Bandit!"

"I caught numerous fish on the 100 series and picked up the Flat Max and what a difference in the way the bass hit it and the size of the fish I was catching!
Every fish I catch on this lure is hooked in the roof of the mouth rather than the lower lip or side. Fish it around downed trees and logs, allow it to bounce off and hold on!
Bass simply hate this lure in my opinion and that's a good thing!"

"I fish in a crystal clear reservior in Central Massachusetts. I've only taken the big hogs on plastic worms until I put on the Bandit "Baby Bream" color last week. I casted, let it sit, jigged it a few times on the top of the water and a 4 lb smallmouth inhaled it. Fish was photographed and released. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!"

"Generally speaking, I prefer the Bandit 100's and 200's. However, the larger profile and flat sides do have a time and place. It pushes a lot of water. Nice paint jobs and good hooks. Try it in the fall when the fish move shallow."

"I have fished the flat max several times this summer in hot, tough conditions. After striking out with soft plastics and finesse fishing on 3 seperate occassions on 2 different lakes, the flat max has produced bass each time I've used it. I have caught both smallmouth and largemouth casting near shallow points and stump structures. It is quickly becoming my "go-to" lure! Salad Bar is a great color."
