"This pack is easy to load up with lots of weight but even at 65#, this pack carries very easily even with a bad back. It straps down tight to keep things from moving around on you and the straps are very well padded. The compartment is accessable either through the top or the back, which makes for very convenient loading and hunting for stuff. The back access makes it very easy to get to your stove and fuel with out having to dig from the top. The sleeping bag compartment is a tad small but if you are using a quality bag that is warm but doesn't take much space, you will be good. The side compression straps also are a great place to lash tent poles to. The lashing patches on the bottom are very sturdy and well built. They have been used to lash on my old tent that is well over 10 pounds. I can't say enough good things about this pack. It is very sturdy and big but can also handle smaller loads with the very versitle compression system. Like has been said, this is not a good pack for the ultra light camper but works well for what it is designed for, lots of stuff."

"So far, this has been a great pack. It has massive amounts of room for week long cold weather trips and fits heavy loads with comfort. It has just enough compartments to help organize but not too many to add excessive weight. It’s about the only pack I have used that fits my 6’6” frame. I have taken it on trips to Teton, Boundrywater and Frank Chruch Wilderness River of No Return and it has withstood the abuse with ease and I am not easy on gear. I wouldn’t use it on short overnighters, waste of space/weight. This is not a weight saver pack for those who count ounces but if you need the space, this is the bag. Great Value."
