Remington Premier AccuTip, November 1, 2006
By FootballCoach from Shamrock, Tx

"My 9 year old son recently harvested his first ever deer. It was a five point whitetail buck. He shot the buck at a distance of 119 yards, and the (.243) 95 gr. AccuTip hit like a sledgehammer. The shot struck the buck behind the left shoulder quartering away and dropped him instantly, not even a step! When we cleaned the animal, we found the bullet just under the hide behind the right shoulder. It had mushroomed perfectly and retained almost all the bullet weight. A great product, and a great hunt."

.204- Great Ammo, June 23, 2009
By LockednDropped from York Springs, PA

Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Value for money, highly accurate

"I purchased a Remington Model 700 .204 about 2 years ago. I was looking for a great ammo for multiple purposes. I ended up with the Remington 40 grain, Accutip V-Boat. It's got great speed(4100-4200 FPS), along with a larger grain than most varmint shots to nock down just about any small animal.

To date, among other animals, I have killed a whitetail doe standing at about 40 yards, dropped her on the spot(shot to the high neck). Another whitetail doe running at about 60 yards, dropped it on the spot(high neck shot). Other animals include squirrels, ground hog, fox(great for long range shooting), turkey, and a rabbit or 2.

At 200 yards, I'm 1/2" low. The gun/ammo is extremely accurate, probably the first gun of choice for most any hunt. Even at long range, no animal has lived through the first shot.

Many of my hunting companions have .17 cal guns. And they all have the same problem, sometimes it just does not kill the animal. I can assure you, if you hit any small game animal, or a deer with the correct shot placement, it will not go anywhere.

The ammo/gun are two great products from Remington. Great for kids(no kick) and great for any small game or varmint hunter. And any veteran hunter looking for a new challenge on shot placement. Enough can't be said about how accurate this ammo/gun combo is.

Just one set back, it usually leaves a pretty big hole in the animal after about 75 yards, so don't plan on using it for animal you might want to mount. :-)

Premium Performance 260 Rem, June 23, 2008
By AllOutdoors from TN

"This ammo is as good as factory ammo can get. It has continued to give one shot kills from a Model 7 in 260 Rem. This bullet has exited every deer and coyote shot with it and always leaves a large wound channel. One deer was shot at 125 yards and the bullet broke both front shoulders and exited. Of the deer that were shot and ran, they all fell within site. Shoots an absolute 1" group at 100 yards."

Best Yet, October 18, 2007
By Winchester-06 from NW Arkansas

"After finally getting my left-handed Winchester Model 70 30-06, I purchased a single box of all the major brands in a 165gr round. After the barrel was broken in, I started shooting for groupings. The AccuTip won hands down. Achieving a 1 inch group at 175 yards. Opening morning I took a buck at 75 yards, ran maybe 10 yards. Since then I've dropped a few "wild" pack animals at ranges of 275+ dead in their tracks. I've yet to find anything that shoots better, even when testing against hand loads."

.308 Remington Accu Tip, July 25, 2007
By Bob

"This ammo is very accurate for a factory load. It has replaced the premier ballistic tip ammo that I had used for many years that was had a more rapid expansion but did not retain its mass that is critical for longer range kills. I have taken 7 deer with this ammo in .308 165gr at ranges from 40yds out to 450yds. Every one that was shot from 100+yds never took a step but, the two that were at 40yds and 60yds ran a maximum of 40yds. This is fantastic ammo for longer range on deer but, has limitations for those up close and personal shots. If you use this ammo for deer and plan on hunting larger game the Remington Premier Scirocco in 165gr shoots the some in my 700.
Good hunting.

Disbelief in lost deer, January 29, 2007
By Mountainman69

"Four deer walked underneath my treestand. After they passed they caught wind of me and at 30 yards I shot one of them square in the sholder with the 150 grain 7mm Rem Mag bullet. I saw the deer jump as the bullet hit and the deer ran off running into some brush and once the brush stopped moving I thought for sure I had a dead deer. To my total disbelief I found "NO" blood and never found the deer after a slam dunk shot.
A few weeks later I shot a deer quartering away at 75 yards with the same bullet and dropped it in its tracks.

Remington Accutip Ammo, October 20, 2006
By Sturno from West Bend, WI

"I've had great success with this load at the range on paper from 100 to 200+ yards. But when shooting this load on whitetails, my shots have typically been, like most people that hunt deep in the woods, in the neighborhood of 65-75 yards, at most. This bullet doesn't open up fast enough for that distance. The one deer I took at about 110 yards a few years back ran all of 10 yards after it was hit and the Accutip did some serious damage, basically shredding the heart. I would say this is a round for 100+ yards or more....but still very accurate for a factory load."

Accurate but no expansion, July 29, 2006
By Smokingun from Hohenwald, Tn

"I have shot this ammo in a .300 Win Mag for the last half of the deer season. It is extremely accurate out of my gun but it doesn't seem to expand much at all on Whitetails. The bullet seem to just go right thru like a FMJ bullet would. The ammo would probably do much better on Mule Deer and bigger game."

.204 Ruger, July 11, 2006
By randyb from indiana

"I recently used the 32 and 40 grain bullets on a trip to Oklahoma for a pairie dog shoot. Winds were in the 20-30 MPH and the ranges of shots were from 17 yards to +400 yards. This round was accurate and effect at all ranges and much better than .223 at longer ranges and compared favorably with the 22-250. Overall quality was excellent and remained very consistant shooter."
