"This air-rifle was the second one i got, and i will never sell this thing! It has performed like no other air-rifle i have ever shot. It fires straight and with alot of power. I have the .22 so it really packs a punch. I've put clean holes through squirrels, crows, and possums. I put a scope on it and it is easily dead on from 50 yards."

"My grandpa has this rifle and he gave it to my father. When I finally got to uses his 30 year old air rifle that he shot a pesky bull with, I was elated. She is heavy and easy to aim, and her sights are still pretty good. When your as young as I am, it's hard to get to ten pumps, and when you do it sounds like a .22,but she was enough of a gun to deter a bull, and she still is today. These rifles are great for small game hunting, and sinc it has variable pumps, you can shoot just about anything thats air gun size."

"the one i fired was probably 25 to 30 years old and it was very accurate ad powerful. it is a great gun. i would highly reccomend this gun. this gun has good wait and its is made of wood and metal so its very duarbale."

"dad had one for 30 years and never had a problem with it. he gave it away what was a big mistake. bought one from bass pro in 177 and quality was superb. i returned it only because i wanted a bigger caliber. best buy for the money. hard hitting gun. very acurate with iron sights. better worksmanship than my shadow 1000."

"this air gun is a great gun for rabbits birds and any thing in your field i have had this gun for five years now and have never had a problum with it great gun for first time kids and for others the price is a cheper price for what the gun is and can do its a great gun it will stand out in the wether with u and can have a long distance shot if ur a framer with coons skunks coyoat or other small game this product will be great for use i will recamend it any day to any one for a pellit gun"

"I have owned a Benjamin model 397 for 11 years. This rifle has performed flawlessly. The 397 is chambered in .177 and fires a pellet at 800fps. This thing hammers nails!! I have hit and killed a Squirrell at 40 yards, with iron sites. The shot was a complete pass through. The little critter never knew what hit him. The quality is second to none. The 397 has a variable velocity, simply pump it two or three times for quiet, lower velocity shooting or pump it the recommended eight times for a pellet melting 800fps. This is the most powerful pump up pellet rifle you can buy.
I had mounted a scope and then switched to a williams peep sight. The scopemount that clamps to the barrell is not the most stable mount. It is made of aluminum and it seemed that I could never keep it tight. If you are going to scope this rifle spend the money and buy the B-Square weaver rail. I switched to the williams peep sight and this gun is right on. I would recomend the Benjamin model 397 to anyone that wants to buy an air rifle that performs and is built to last. You could pass this one down to your kids but, its so nice you won't want to."
