Advantages: Comfortable, Quality, Style/Design, True to fit, Value for money
"Bought these boots a couple years ago and they are still going strong. I had bought them prior to an Elk hunt in Colorado. They were comfortable right out of the box and my feet and legs weren't tired from them at the end of the day. Also, with the 400 insulation, my feet never got wet or cold when a light snow fell while we were there. I hadn't brought pack boots so they were all I had and they worked great!"

"These boots are very comfortable right out the box. Good traction in snow and dirt, will clog in sticky mud. Completely waterproof so far, several stream crossings and feet have remained dry. For me 400 Grams of insulation is about right. Need more if you are not moving or on ice. Good looking boot also."

"I've had my Pronghorns for almost 3 years now and I can't say enough about them. They are comfortable, fairly light, and required almost no break in period. The 400 grams of Thinsulate is just about perfect...a little hot during the early season and a little light for the late season, but a great compromise if you're looking for one boot to do it all. The provide great ankle support and the tread wears well. I wear them for about 100 days straight while guiding fall elk and deer hunts each year, and my feet have never been sore. Really a great product from Danner."

"I use this boot while hiking the tough terrain of Idaho and well I can't tell you enough about how comfortable these boots are. During the cold the keep your feet nice, warm, and dry. They are a little pricey but in the long run they are worth it."

Extremely durable and comfortable boot,July 11, 2006

"I wore a pair of Rocky Cornstalkers for almost 11 years. The tread was gone, but they were still dry and comfortable. I swore I'd go with Rocky again. Then I tried on the Pronghorns. Out of the box they were like your favorite pair of sneakers. Soft, comfortable, and they felt very stable for tough hikes. I wear them mostly for Spring and fall Turkey season here in PA. They are perfect. Light, handle the rocky terrain well, and my feet don't sweat even on warmer days.
I hate boots that are tough to lace up when you're in a hurry to hit the woods. No problem with these. I've walked through 6" deep creeks and mud holes, feet were completely dry. Long hikes over rugged terrain and no blisters or soreness.
All I wear for socks are Coolmax or something similar.
Needless to say I love these boots and I hope they last as long as my old Rockies."
