Sling Seat by Strongbuilt

,
August 20, 2006
By Birk

"Our hunt club has over 30 different types stands by many different manufactures. This is by far the most comfortable stand I know for gun hunting. It can be hard to stand up from when bow hunting, but you can sit in it all day long. Suggest using a ratched strap on the bottom of the stand to make it safer for getting in and out. The stand will not move on the tree this way!"

Best I've used

"This was the second year I've hunted from this stand, and the second deer I've nailed from it. It's comfort makes it easier to relax when that monster old timer steps out and you feel you will rattle the tree down. Only problem I have is the shooting rest and location of the supports can make it a little tricky to get in and out of, but not overly so. I would (and have) recommend this stand to anyone looking for a good stand."

Comfort and Preformance

,
June 9, 2008
By TrickyBusiness
from Springdale, AR
"I have purchased 6 of these stands now, and have found that they are the most comfortable stand that I have found yet. For those who are young like myself and have problems staying awake at times you can feel safe while you are 25 ft. up a tree waiting on a monster to step out. Great sized platform for a bow hunter to be able to move around to make a shot. The shooting rail also give a rock solid place to rest a rifle shot.
Those older hunters who find it hard to sit in a stand for hours on end have a great stand that will provide you the chance to stay in the stand longer than ever before and the chance to harvest the deer that move when you are normall out of your stand and heading for camp.

"this is absolutely my favorite stand. I have it mounted about 14' up in a pine tree. it is the most secure and most comfortable stand i have ever used....so comfortable I sometimes find myself wanting to take a nap. the rail is excellent for gun season but flips up for archery. Definately a must have if you want a permanent stand."

very good stand

"This stand is very comfortable and quite roomy. The fold down shooting rest is very convenient when entering/exiting the stand. Just raise it up when you leave and when you return it's still raised so you're not fumbling around trying to climb over the rail (unsafe). The only drawback is the weight of the stand, but for the security and safety it provides it is well worth it."

Comfortable and solid

,
August 24, 2007

"Overall, this stand gets a thumbs up from me. It's very comfortable to sit in and very safe. I can sit in it all day. Most comfortable non-climbing stand I own.
Reasons why I didn't give it 5 stars:
1. Can be heavy to hang
2. To make it super solid on tree, I suggest a rachet to help secure.
I'd own another one if my wife would let me buy it!

Comfortable killer

"I bought two of these stands last year and sat both at two different locantions throughout the state of MO and had deer come within in two yards of it. I have read the other reviews and will agree that is bigger than some stands but if you are afraid of climbers like me or of falling out of others you don't have to be with this stand. When hanging the stand take a rope and tie it to the stand and climb up to a higher branch and use that branch to hoist the stand up to a disired place from the ground and tie it to a nearby tree. Yes it probably will need two people to get it in the tree but when hanging a treestand for the first time in any tree should take at least two people. Just in case of accidents. Anyway I'm about 6-feet and shoot a longer compound bow than most and I killed two deer with the shooting rest down while standing up. And during the gun season my brother used the shooting rest to take a 125 eight point. So the stand does work. Even though it does have a weight limit me and my friend were both standing on it exceeding the limit with just the two enclosed rachtet straps. When leaving or getting in the stand tie the shooting rail up so that entering and exiting will be easier. Because of its design entering and exiting is a little hard because of walking on the side of the stand. The stand does have plenty of room for putting packs under it or lifting the shooting rest and placing the packs on the bars that support the rest. And for extra safety I put a lock on the stand so that if the straps break the chain and lock will hold for a few seconds or longer and also just in case anyone wants to steal it. It is a good stand I have since bought two more and thinking about another."

heavy

"This stand is heavy but im not the biggest and i got it up in a tree 25 feet high. Hard to get in if you use screw in steps. Sticks to tree well and doesn't rock at all. Extremely comfortable. Rail moves without a sound. never tried it as a rifle rest."

Strondbuilt tree stand

"I have had several tree stands and this is the most comfortable tree stand I have ever sat in . I can set in it for 3 or 4 hours without having to get up and stretch . I have a bad back and this is the most comfortable . The only thing I can say that I don't like is the installation , but that is not really that bad either . I have installed it by myself , but you really need 2 people to put it up ."

Strongbuilt Sling Seat treestand

,
September 30, 2006
By Jim111

"This is by far the safest and sturdiest treestand I have ever used. Once you ratchet that thing in place, it won't budge! It's as comfortable a stand as I ever sat in. I've been a professional hunting guide for 35+ years. I've used more brands of treestands than anyone I know or ever knew. I wish all my stands were of this quality. Only drawback is the weight and you'll want two people to put them up. But that's minor compared to what you get. I have a bad back, yet can sit this stand for hours on end. My only wish was that the seat was removeable, so I could leave them up year-round, minus the seat. With the shooting rail in place, this is the only treestand I'd sit in without the desire to wear a safety harness. I doubt I could ever figure out how to fall out of it, while sitting? I wear one anyway, of course. Everyone should. I've lost friends and fellow guides in the past, who were too careless (or brazen) and fell from stands."

Should Be Lazy Boy

"This is one of the most comfortable stands I have ever used. I own 3. Heavy to hang but the T-bolt makes it easier. It sits far out from the tree so you need good cover. Rifle rest is a good attribute but it needs to be moved out the way for bowhunting.
Wear your safety belt because it is almost too comfortable!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"This stand is extraordinarily comfortable, almost too comfortable, but getting in and out of the stand takes some practice, particularly when wearing a safety belt. I would recommend practicing stepping off your ladder from the right side (if right handed) and visa versa. It seems to feel more comfortable for me that way."
