Don't Do It,
October 14, 2009
By DeerCamp
|
Advantages: price
Disadvantages: comfort
"I purchased one several years back and it is the most uncomfortable stand I have sat in. The person that designed this stand with the bars running across the middle of your back never intended to hunt from it.
I have one laying on the side of the deer camp road if anyone wants a slightly used stand to try out."

comfy and huge platform,
August 27, 2009
By BigJonnyD

"I love this stand it is super comfy. it was extremly hard to put up because it is heavy. It wont be moving from that spot so its ok. the flip up seat also makes it easy to get into. I love the size of the platform. only down fall if there is one that there is no shooting rail."

Not what i thought it would be,
February 13, 2009
By archergmv

"It got three stars for its ease of installation and its stability for a big guy (6'5" 250) but its downsides are after a couple of hours the seat starts to wear on me and I find myself standing more than sitting. though they went in easily after a couple of weeks they started to get noisy so I would have to reset them. Toward the end of the season I started putting tensioning ropes off the footrest down to the limbs which helped somewhat. Of the 3 I bought I had the noise problem with 2. The price was good but isnt worth the extra effort to use them. There are better products for the money."

Noisy Beast!!,
February 3, 2009
By bucky280

"This stand looked comfortable and roomy so I bought one. It's attractiveness quickly faded when I pulled it up the tree to hang it! I could have used a crane cause this thing is heavy! The next problem was the snap on the backrest broke when I put it around the tree. I found more negatives the first time I hunted out of it. The straps that support the underside of the seat start to cut into your legs after an hour and every time you shift your weight it pops loudly. Needless to say when this one came down at the end of the season it went quickly in a yard sale!!"

very simple stand,

"A friend and I bought 3 of these this weekend and went to set them up. i was amazed at the simplicity of these stands!!!!!! We had to insert one bolt and then strap it to the tree. They are light and VERY sturdy once you get them up. We just got another 120 acres and will be buying probably about 5 more. AMAZING stand!!!!"

not what I really expected,
June 20, 2008
By Bassinmaster
|
"I bought this stand last year with fairly high expectations, however after about 2 weeks in the tree the stand became very squeaky, also the top of the backrest is slanted toward the tree so you really cant feel it. The only real reason i even gave it two stars was because of the price. I have to be honest, I was disapointed in this product."

great stand but not great paint!,
February 13, 2008
By chgriffis
|
"I bought this before last hunting and set it up before bow season. Great comfort to sit in and easy to hang. The only problem I have is the quality of paint on the stand. I left it out for 3 months during the season and got it out after the season. the expanded metal on the platform was starting to rust real bad. I do steel work and will have to repaint it before next season. They should have used a better quality of paint instead of some cheap primer!"

"Our camp bought 2 of these stands 2 yrs ago. 6 guys and all look forward to using them, very comfortable. They compare them to a lazy boy. We have taken 4 deer from them. No complaints."

Close to perfect...,
December 10, 2007
By Dutchman
|
"...but not quite. This stand is easy to hang and is quite solid. I'm pretty fair sized (6'3" & 235#) and am no spring chicken at 49 years of age and I can easily hang this stand by myself using a lineman's belt and no other special equipment. The only complaint I have is the platform with the footrest seems small to me. I would prefer to have an add on footrest instead of the current design."

get a new stand,
November 16, 2007
By arhunter
|
"me and two other people got this stand before last deer season and i promise i will not use it next year likewise with the others the arm rest bar goes behind your back and after 3hrs. your move and trying to get comfortable and the foot rest is a joke it makes your legs cramp all in all the only good thing is that you rear dont hurt oh and when you put it in either take a buddy or a hoist so after season i will be looking for a new stand"

Best lock-on I've ever used!,
November 12, 2007
By rckcoug
from Pearl, MS
|
"This treestand is the most comfortable lock-on I've ever used! Rock solid--never slipped or kicked out when entering or exiting. Very comfortable--can spend hours without having any aches! The only thing that could be improved on would be to equip it with 2 ratchet straps instead of 1. Would recommend it to anyone!"

Good Stand,
September 26, 2007
By REDWV
|
"This a really good stand and I would recommend it to anybody. The only problems are that it is hard to put of by yourself and you may need an extra ratchet strap to tighten it to the tree. It only has one ratchet strap and can make you feel very uneasy. With a friend and an extra strap, this is a great stand to hunt out of."

300 Mag Rules,
September 25, 2007
By bgdeerhuntr

"This is a very good treestand. I can sit in this treestand for hours on end without getting any soreness or cramping. The seat works best when put as high as it can go. Plenty of room to shoot standing up or sitting down with a bow or gun. I would recommend this stand to anyone and everyone."

Easy to Hand and Comfortable,
November 22, 2006
By 270remington

"I put this stand up two months ago and it went up a lot easier than other lockons I have used. It is comfortable and the tiedown points are in exactly the right places. I would prefer the strap be a ratchet type instead of the current one. It is quite comfortable to sit in and I am 6' 3" tall."

"very comfortable for long periods of sitting, very roomy platform, sturdy, quiet, the only thing i dont like is its hard to flip seat up without moving alot while bow hunting but there is enough room to move around and shoot without flipping seat up making it a good all around stand"

Remington 300 Mag treestand,

"This stand is easy to hang and very comfortable. The footrest is a nice touch for keeping knee pain away. I would give it 5 stars if the seat was a little longer, but all in all, a very comfortable stand at a reasonable price."

REM 300 MAG TREESTAND,
October 19, 2006
By STEVEN
from VA.
|
"REMINGTON MISSED THE BULLSEYE ON THIS ONE. FOR A MAN OF 6' I FOUND THAT THE ADDED FOOT REST MADE IT UNCOMFORTABLE I COULD NOT SIT WITH OUT MY LEGS WANTING TO HANG OVER THE END OF THE PLATFORM. I THINK IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER TO LEAVE THE PLATFORM FLAT AND ADD A FOOT REST TO THE END. IT IS A GOOD STAND FOR BOW HUNTING BUT FOR GUN HUNTING I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A REMOVABLE GUN REST ADDED TO IT. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL COME OUT WITH ONE TO FIT."

300 Mag,
September 21, 2006
By CMWise
from Central Georgia

"A very, very comfortable treestand. The platform allows plenty of room to manuever for a bow shot or when you need to stand and stretch your legs. The arm rests provide for great comfort and a sense of security. The only negative is that the seat can be a bit noisy is you haven't hunted it for a while. The straps can stick just a bit when stretching over the railings. Once they have stretched properly, the problem goes away. I would recommend this stand to anyone."
