Using its powerful 1000-watt heating unit and specially designed Converga-Flow® air circulation system, the Gardenmaster dehydrates food on up to 30 trays. Using a quiet 2400 RPM motor and specially designed 4-1/2'' fan, Converga-Flow moves heated air up the exterior pressurized chamber and horizontally across each tray for fast, nutritious, and even drying. This quick and even drying system keeps flavors from mixing and eliminates the need for rotating trays. Its 100% solid state heating unit features adjustable temperature control, allowing you to change the heating temperature from 95-155°F for best results. The clear 2-1/2" insulated top cover allows you to see the food dehydrate while allowing virtually no heat loss. The Gardenmaster Pro's Vita-Save® opaque exterior blocks light to retain more nutrients and vitamins. Dehydrator comes with four trays, a 52-page recipe book, instruction book, 1 mesh sheet, 1 solid sheet, and 1 packet of jerky spice. Add up to 30 additional trays with Add-A-Trays® accessory. "When my husband wanted to buy a dehydrator, I thought great something else that will get little use and take up prescious space in our small kitchen. The previous dehydrator we had many years ago was very noisy, had to have the trays rotated and took forever, broke down in know time. The Nesco Gardenmaster has been excellent. Although making deer and beef jerky was supposed to be my husband's project it has been falling to me to do something with the meat he has sliced. This dehydrator cooks evenly and quickly we are currently using it with six trays and still all the jerky is done at the same time. We have made numerous batches of jerky and continue to be pleased every time. I would highly recommend this product to anyone in the market for a dehydrator."

"I got this dehydrator from my mother-in-law a year ago, made my first batch of jerky a few days later, and haven't looked back. A whole batch of jerky, start to finish, only takes me 5 hours (including slicing time the night before). With young kids I'm eager to try drying some fruit. If it does fruit the way it does jerky, I know they'll love it. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a lock to keep greedy fingers out of it until the jerky is done."

"I bought for my boyfriend ...he has had dehydrator's in the passed. He stated that this was is so much nicer and user friendly. He has made jerky which is my favorite. roll ups and dehydrated fruit. All awesome!"

"I have always wanted a dehydrator, but really never knew which one to get. I bought this one over the other ones based on the reviews I read on this site. I can't imagine one preforming any better than this one. I did buy two more trays for extra room and that makes the size about perfect.
We have used it almost full time since we got it and have had no complaints. I was worried about the noise, but it is really quiet, considering the size. We have made jerky from geese and deer and dried about every kind of fruit that we can get this time of year. I would recommend getting extra fruit trays for the fruit roll-ups, as the one that comes with it isn't enough when you find how easy roll-ups are to make.
Easy clean up and thorough instructiions."

"This purchase meets all our requirements for a food dehydrator. We will be experimenting with our own recipes, though, because the recommended recipe for venison jerky turned out waaaaay too salty for our taste.
The only issue I have with this purchase it that it was "out of stock" when I ordered it at the sale price, and two days later when I successfully ordered it, there was PLENTY of stock at the full price."

"I accidentally purchased a 350watt dehydrator as my first one... big mistake! After learning my lesson, I pick up this dehydrator. What a difference! It's so fast and dries so consistently.. no need to rotate at all.

"I was very impressed with the NESCO Pro Dehydrator. I placed the jerky on the trays, set the temperature setting and walked away. Eleven hours later, I had perfect Jerky. I did not have to rotate trays or do a alot of cleaning once the jerky was done. The blower/fan in the dehydrator evenly spread out the heat amongst the trays and the entire batch of jerky was ready for eating at the same time. Only drawback was the fan did make some noise in the kitchen."

"Apparently I chose a top of the line machine when it comes to dehydrators when I purchased the Gardenmaster Pro. This is my first machine and I am a beginner at this, however, talking to friends who have other machines, this one “blows theirs out of the water.” It takes about 2.5 to 3.5 hours to dry beef sticks and about 4 hours to dry sliced venison jerky with no need to rotate trays. My friends tell me their machines take 12+ hours for some recipes. This machine is easy to use and I would recommend it to anyone."

"i have made up hundreds of gallon bags of deer jerky using this machine. The use of it along with a timer means i can set it and forget it . i use 10 trays at a time and have had great results with it."

"I have used other dehydrators and this one cooks twice as fast. You can dehydrate 1/4" thick jerky in 4 hours. You can also buy additional trays to stack on eachother and make a ton of meat! My favorite thing is that you don't have to rotate the trays while drying your food. I have another dehydrator that the bottom tray gets done before the top, but this one cooks evenly."
