Great Knife, August 16, 2009
By Rockinbarh from Duncan, OK

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money

"Chose the 6" knife as the largest fish I usually clean is about a 10 pound catfish.
Works great! Holds edge well and will clean an entire mess of fish without resharpening.

I now use it in the kitchen for cutting vegetables and for boning out deer or pigs that we have taken.
Took it to my parents for the weekend and my dad (former butcher) tried to hide it so he could keep it and use it as a boning knife due to flexibility and ability to hold edge.

The handle fits your hand and allows for great grip, even when wet.
6" is great for most purposes. we did catch a 25 pound flathead and a longer knife would have made that job a lot easier.

Great knife, great price, January 18, 2009
By RogueCap from Fire Island, NY

"I have three 9"... one for my tackle/travel bag, one in my kitchen, and one on my boat. And I keep a 4" on deck for cutting bait. I have yet to find a better knife this inexpensive. Most cheap knifes will snap easy when flexing, haven't snapped one of these yet. It stays sharp fairly well, the cloth sheath is nice, and even the one on the boat has stayed relatively rust free despite plenty of saltwater abuse for the year."

Good, Cheap Knife, January 11, 2008
By mro513 from M-Town, Buckye State

"This is a good cheap fillet knife. This is good for panfish, but that is about it. For bigger fish, it is hard to use this on them.

For a new fisherman, this fillet knife is a good option, but for someone who fillets cats or walleyes, I'd recommend a bigger knife.
