Lodge Logic™ Cast-Iron Skillets with Assist Handle

Introducing Lodge Logic: Ready-to-use cast-iron cookware, pre seasoned for consistent performance! For more than 100 years, Lodge has been perfecting the process of making cast-iron cookware, formulating the perfect metal chemistry to create the exacting mold tolerances for casting. This produces the perfect wall construction for the best even heating in cookware. In the past, however, the seasoning process was never complete until you had cooked countless batches of fried chicken, catfish and cornbread to burnish it to a black patina. Of course, after this process was complete, cast-iron cookware would be handed down like an heirloom. Lodge Logic removes the waiting, thanks to a newly-developed seasoning process. An electrostatic spray system applies a proprietary vegetable oil combination to deeply penetrate the pores of the iron. The resulting seasoned cast-iron cookware is far superior to anything you can achieve at home because you can use it right out of the box. All Lodge cookware is still produced in a sand-cast process under high pressure so the shape can be controlled precisely. Lodge cast-iron cookware is durable with incredible heat retention and distribution. The basic tool for any kitchen. Enjoy the even heat and long lasting heat retention of a cast iron skillet from Lodge. Its durable design and material means you will enjoy this skillet for the rest of your life. Its seasoned cast iron construction means this skillet will be ready to go right out of the box. Features traditional skillet handle and pour lips. Made in USA. Features: Traditional design and construction Ready to use, seasoned cast iron construction Traditional skillet handle Pour lips on sides of skillet Even heating and long lasting heat retention

Lodge pre-seasoned skillet, March 1, 2009
By mcg0958 from Chicago

"I love this skillet. I don't know what it was that compeled me to buy cast iron but what ever it was, I am so glad I did. I never put it away, it just sits on my stove top asking me and challenging me to cook. I try to use her everyday. Bacon, taco meat, french toast, grilleed cheese, sausage gravy, etc...
I haven't taken it camping, but I do plan to buy more cast iron items for my home use.
Love it.

Great skillet, March 12, 2008
By winger from Wisconsin USA

"I purchased a set of these last year. You can't beat cast iron especially in the great outdoors. I used the heck out fof these last summer/fall they will hold up for you. Easy clean up if you prepare the skillet properly. Nothing better than fresh fish and chips over the fire!"

Great product!, January 17, 2008
By FriscoKid from Frisco, TX

"The pre-seasoned cast iron from Lodge Logic is great! We use these at home and at the cabin. Easy clean up if you use some non-stick spray or butter first... if not, this isn't Teflon!

Assist handle helps the wife lift heavy pan!

Awesome cast iron pieces right here!

will last a lifetime!!, December 24, 2007
By dmb3428

"I grew up in a family that regularly used cast iron skillets on a wood stove so i know how tough they are. Lodge cookware is tough and will last a lifetime if taken care of. Proper maintainence of the seasoning is a must. The pans will rust if not taken care of BUT you can get rid of the rust with proper cleaning so dont dispair! I use the 10 and 12inch skillets at home and camping cooking over a campfire and there is nothing like it. Cast iron distributes heat evenly and cooks better than any other pan i have ever used. Beware cast iron IS HEAVY and get yourself a good oven mit to handle hot pans!"

lodge skillet, February 15, 2007
By martyman from cane ridge, tennessee

"I cook fish and, fried onions & fried dill pickles in the same skillet. when cooking with meal, you have to clean out the debris to keep the oil clean and the food crisp. with this skillet and its extra handle, it makes cooking so much easier and safer."
