60,000 BTU burner output, November 15, 2009
By frycook

Advantages: Style/Design
Disadvantages: Quality, low functionality, hard to clean

"I purchased the stainless steel steamer/fryer combo last year before Thanksgiving and have used it four times since then. The first issue was that the gas valve controller had a bad solder joint from the factory and made the system intermittant. Next issue is that I could never get the system to burn clean and hot enough to maintain 350F for the cooking duration. It turns out that the oriface size of .041 is only large enough to provide 49,000 BTU insted of the rated 60,000 BTUs. The burner also has a bad mixing valve design that will coat the bottom of the pot with heavy soot. I would only recommend this product to someone with an .046 (#56) drill and a lot of time for cleaning as it does come with good utensils and cooks well in warmer weather."

Good product but needs more info, November 16, 2008
By azhombre

"Just purchased this cooker/steamer. When first assembed, the regulator was defective. Returned to the store for a repacement. Tried it out with catfish and hush puppies. Worked great. Plan on cooking a turkey for thanksgiving.

I would like to try it as a steamer, but I'm not sure how to use it. There were no directions how to steam cook with the product. Is there a web site somewhere that would give more info about using this cooker/steamer? I can't find anything on the Bass web.

Very pleased, May 2, 2008

"I have been looking for one of these fryers for while now and I'm very happy with what I got. The only thing I would recommend would be to include a cook book. You have all these great gagets and no idea how to use them. Even a microwave oven come with a cook book."

good quality, December 26, 2007
By beerslugger from sudbury ontario

"in one of the reviews ,they mention that you can't slide a 3 galon tank under the spout. I have just received 2 of these units and there isn't a spout on these units which I beleive should be a must to drain all this oil. Other than this the unit is great"

Best turkey fryer ever, November 13, 2007
By gatortamer2 from denham springs, louisiana

"I have used a lot of different fryers over the years and this one is by far the best I have ever used. The only thing that I would change is the length of the legs.If you use a 3gallon oil bottle it doesn't sit up high enough to slide the bottle under the spout. Other than that it is great!"
