"being a $10 bait, i was reluctant to spend the money on it, but I finally broke down because I absolutely loved the way it looked. In the water, unlike most swimbait/spinnerbait hybrids that have a beetle-spin like arm, it does not loose the wobble and attraction of the swimbait due to the vibration from a single colorado blade. However, after I have bought 4 of these in the 2 different sizes, each one has a significant problem which may lead to less fish: they tend to swim at an angle, halfway between like a normal spinnerbait and halfway between laying flat. also, on subsurface burning retrieves, they do lay flat. Now, Im not saying this is a bad bait, because it isnt. it does catch big fish though, i have only caught 2 fish on this bait, and they have been in the middle of winter: a 5 pound 2 ounce bass on MLK day 08, and a 6 pound 3 ounce bass in August 07. i will include pictures of each. and like i stated in the title, this bait is true to its name, the crashing thunder. it is impossible to make the bait hit the water gently. all in all, this is a decent bait, but it is definitely not worth the price. your local bass pro may run a sale on them as mine did, so buy them then."

"The Crashing Thunder is a great alternative to a regular spinnerbait. One thing I have noticed is that fish tend to attack it and swallow it deep. Doug"
