"Using these jointed minnows stream and reservoir fishing in Hawaii is astronomical. Smallmouth, Largemouth and Peacock Bass destroy these lures on a consistent basis. They definately are fish catching magnets. I just wish that they came in smaller sizes and with more color variations. The price is very good. However I am in the Military and ordered them on line and could not use my military discount because of that. Overall a very well made and productive lure."

"The very first day I used this lure, i caught about 5 decent smallmouth bass within 25 minutes. as the days went on i caught numerous species such as Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth bass, Chain pickeral and even the occasional Bluegill! This lure really catches them all!"

"i think these are the best thing on the market. lg. mouth bass, crappies, blue gill, sm.mouth, they all seem to hit these lures. recently caught some 3lbers on these lures when it seemed nothing else would work, i sware by them. friend that fishes with me, also bought them after he saw the success i had with them, Hartley."

"i've used these jerk baits to catch anything from crappies to northern pike i've even snaged a 40 pound carp with this bait and the joint has still held up! the only problem with these baits is that if your a braided line fan the hooks pull out very easy so you must eather use a lite action rod or mono or both. my favorite part about these baits is that at two dollers a pice you dont have to worry much about losing them"

Firetiger Doesn't Have an Orange Belly

"Most Firetiger lures, whether a spoon, spinner blad, or hard bait feature orange, with the hard baits presenting an orange belly. Orange is one of those stimulator colors that causes fish to strike, as are the other colors on a firetiger lure. So I was disappointed to find that this lure does not have an orange belly. For me, this is not a true firetiger lure. I hope BPS fixes this issue at some point."

"I purchased this spring of 2010 for a trip to canada. The lures used to have a smooth side and glistened in the sun with a spectrum of colors glistening. The paint colors have changed some along with a very limited of orange on the bottom of the lure. I can say that the Green back, silver side and orange bottom along with the black top, silver side and orange bottom were awesome up in canada in early spring fishing. However, these color combinations are not available anymore and the lure has a ribbed body design compared to the smooth sleek original design. I gave it a 4 because I am not sure how the new design and colors will perform. For the $3 price you can not beat it to try."

"It worked quite well. I caught a pickerel on the first cast, and I got a few more hits from some small bass. The action is decent. The size is good too. I find it's small enough to catch the smaller fish, but large enough that the bigger ones don't completely inhale it. Good price too.
Sadly, I lost mine to a pesky tree. I plan to buy more."

"Bought this looking for a budget jointed minnow. Not impressed at all. Out of the box, I had to clean paint off of the joints so that the minnow would be able to wiggle. Fished it for a half hour and the tail section never moved. Fished slow, fast and everything in between. Will stick with Rapala Jointed minnow."
