24.6 Blue Cat on a Wally Marshall 14' Crappie pole
"Some of the best trolling poles I have ever bought. Just Monday, January 26, 2009, my fishing buddy and I caught 42 crappie with no problem when one of my poles gave a jerk. After twenty minutes of being pulled in my 18.5 War Eagle Predator, we landed a 24.6 pound Blue Catfish and got him in the boat and the pole is still intact. During the summer I also hoisted in a 17 lb Razorback Buffalo after a 30 minute fight playing him down. Excellent poles. Wished I could get some more just like the ones I have."

Awesome rods,May 15, 2008
By crappie123from Bama
"The rods are the best I've used for tightling for crappie or even trollong for crappie with crankbaits. Very strong but sensitive. I have 6 and never had a problem with one of them."

Fly Casting in the Surf,July 17, 2007
By Fly Popper
"I have both the 12 and !4 foot Tightline rods that I use for casting large heavy salt water flies and poppers. The rod casts great and keeps the flies over my head and breaking waves. Altho the ceramic guides are small, I have not had any trouble with using large diameter lines. The grip is perfectly placed for two handed over head casting...140 ft. distances is easily reached."

Can't Fish enough,September 25, 2006
By blincofrom Tampa
"I can’t fish enough. I bought the 16’ 3 piece and spooled it up with 30 pound power pro. I call it “THE POLE”. I have caught tinny tuna’s and Spanish Mac’s and jacks and hundreds of lady fish. The size is up to 18lbs 10oz. tinny tuna. I love this pole. Just at 16 feet, it gets heavy after a long day on Tampa bay. Buy two, I did. One for live bait and one for spoons"

Don't under estimate this rod!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,September 19, 2006
By FishingTrippfrom Los Angeles
"I am a saltwater fisherman till death!. I am also a Cliff/ shoreline fisherman here in Southern California. I saw this rod at the Bass pro shop in Las Vegas and knew it was perfect for Saltwater Shoreline fishing. I mostly used big heavy surf rods. It was impossible to feel all the bites, and as you know you need to be quick to makes sure the fish doesn't go into the rocks. This rod is perfect. Not only can I cast a 1oz weight about 150yrds, I can also feel everyl ittle bite!!!!! I use a Penn surfmaster with my 16ft beauty. Give this rod a try!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Best Darn Bream/Crappie/Catfish Pole,July 17, 2006
By Tighteyefrom Monroe, LA
"Best pole a pore ol' dumb bank fisherman could have!!! Backbone enough to pull out the meanest "grinnel" (bowfin to y'all damyankees), and sensitive enough to feel them dadgum 2" baitstealin' baby bream. Use with spinning or triggerspin reels from ultralite on up. Well worth the price-better than many poles costing more."

Wally Marshall Tightline Special Rods,July 14, 2006
By TheMan1from Texas
"Purchased a 14 ft rod for crappie and catfishing. I attached a Zebco 33L reel to it. This combo works well, throws far and also can reach hard to get to areas. Caught a few catfish with it this 10-25 test line rated rod is fun to use. Good Product."
