Big fish,November 3, 2006

"September 13 2006 I was using a Zebco 33 gold combs set purchased from Bass Pro Shop in Atlanta. I was using a plastic worm on Chatahochee River Near Dothan Al. I hooked a large mouth Bass using my new rod and reel. I knew he was a large fish but not how large ,after several minutes and the fish running line off my reel I got him in the boat. He weighed 8.5 pounds. The largest I have ever caught in my 51 years. The rod and reel handled the job with ease. No problem. Another good thing about this rod and reel is my 5 year old grandson can use it with no trouble. It truly is a great fishing combo and I plan to purchase another soon. thanks from a proud fisherman."

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Value for money
"Very good buy, I use 2 as all around fishing poles, backups while on the boat or for when friends fish with me. Try to catch them on sale for $25 or $30 but well worth the normal $35 price I am very happy next time on sale I will buy 2 more. Thanks"

"This combo is my favorite pole to fish with. I can cast halfway across the lake, and retrieve it smoothly. It sets the hook for the majority of the time, the other times i think its my fault. I've used this combo from bluegill to about 3lbs bass. I would recommend this anyone who has a tight budget, but wants a good rod."

The best of days
"I was having major problems with another manufacturers reel, and BassPro allowed me to exchange it for this set. Wow, Zebco has changed my mind since they came out with their Bill Dance, and Omega sets. This is a great reel. Cast a mile with it, Smooth, Reels in without squeeling, no missing the line, and can handle a good size Bass. Just very easy to handle."
