"I found that this was a tough call to learn on. I bought it as my first turkey call, and wasn't very good with it. I since bought a slate call, and now that I know the basics it makes it a little easier. I still find it difficult to make consistent purrs, but with more practice, I'm sure it will work well."

"Good Sounding call, the only problems are the elastic band that holds it to your leg cause it always comes out of the slit in the plastic. The 2nd is the cover keeps popping off the face. When it works it's great."

my first bird
"this is the BEST call i have ever used. I shot my first tom using this call. i got to the bush at around 6:15 a.m on opening day 2008 and heard another hunter/hen calling. there were gobblers calling back to it. so i started to call aggressivley and they changed course right away. i barely had time set up my decoys and within 5 minutes 3 toms were in front of me within 10 YARDS!!! so i shot and the tom went down and it weighed 24 pounds with 1" 1/4 spurs and a "9.5 inch beard. i was leaving in the truck by 6:35 and even cleaned the birf and still got to school on time.i would of had another bird the next day but i did not see him or hear him so i moved and he was only standing 25 feet away so i scared him. this call steals birds from other hunters/ hens."

"There is no doubt in my mind when im hunting with a Primos call! Once again they have mastered yet another turkey friction call. I am a member of a hunting club and all the members carry a Freak Crystal Call with them. It is a great overall call! ! ! !"

"I took my first gobbler with The Freak Crystal Call on opening day in Florida. The range of sounds that this call makes proved to be to much for an early morning Osceola tom. After locating this tom at about 6:00am my partner and I moved approximately 100 yards down from the truck and about 100 yards in, and within 5 minutes of setting up and making a fly down cackle that this tom could not resist, I had taken my first tom ever. This turkey weigh 18 lbs and had a 9 and 3/4 inch beard. I will buy this product in the future."
