"This bait just aggrivates bass. Want an explosive topwater bite? Tie this on. My favorite is the 5/8 in Frog. It just outproduces any other bait I've used. Wish BPS would stock this color."

Fishing for big bass,July 23, 2006

"The Nip-i-diddee is the best topwater lure I have ever used, I only use one in the frog scale. I have found it best during the times of the year when bass feed on frogs. I have caught many bass most of which easily exceeded five pounds. There are many stories I could write about the fish I have caught on this lure but I will only tell this one story. During the middle of June in a one hour period of fishing I caught three five pound bass,two four pound bass, three three pound bass,and numerous bass that weighed one and two pounds,also I lost one bass that easily exceeded six pounds. This is only one of many great catches of mine. The best way I have found to fish this lure is once you cast it out allow the ripples to fade away then begin to twitch it slowly, then fish it in a series of jerks. I recomend any size as long as it is in the frog color. I hope this was helpful to you. Good luck fishing."

"I have also heard this lure being called the "crippled killer."I haven't used this lure personally but when I was fishing with my friend I saw that he had many strikes at the lure. He caught his first crappie on it and missed a 19 inch bass. I would reccomend getting this lure as I will soon."

"This is the top water bait of choice for lakes like Dale Hollow. This bait makes noice, simulates an injured animal in the water, and reflects light all in one motion. Smallmouth cannot resist this bait. Recommended colors are black and the Spotted Pup (which has earned the nickname 'The Bovine Bandit' since it's coloration reminds me of a spotted cow)."
