This is one awesome turkey choke! Most 10- and 12-gauge factory threaded guns can become instant turkey hunting specialists with this choke -- it's highly dependable, effective, and deadly. Conical parallel design combined with exclusive outward angled diagonal ports that improve patterns up to 20%. Ports also reduce muzzle jump and recoil for faster and more accurate follow-up shots. The directional angle of the ports is 135 degrees away from the shooter, reducing side blast prevalent in ports 90 degrees or less. Because of its sharp angle, the inside forward lip ''grabs,'' stabilizes, and slows the wad for faster separation of wad and shot column. This feature combined with a parallel section where the constriction is held constant produces great patterns. The extended portion of the choke tube extends 1-3/4'' from the muzzle and isn't noticeable when shooting. Matte black finish. Lead shot only.

Great Pattern,April 19, 2009
By AmmoManfrom Waterloo New York
Advantages: Durability, Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Value for money
"This choke performs well at 40yrds for the hunters who shoot the 2 3/4- 3 inch shells.(No need to shoot any farther) It produced a really tight pattern out of a scoped 26'' barrel Winchester 1300 using 3'' #5 2oz Federal Grand Slam shells.(8 different loads/sizes were used during testing and all patterned just as good, but i have 17 boxes of the federals) Putting average of 18-26 hits in the kill zone with 103-126 pellets around the kill zone on a 12x12 target. The choke reduces recoil slightly and is of great quality. The only thing i noticed was it shredds the wad into pieces as soon as it exits the barrel, but doesnt seem to effect the performance."

Very good choke,March 10, 2009
By tskillerfrom Indiana
"Got this choke tube in .670 for my Mossberg 935. It patterned very well with 5 different shells (Rem 3" 4x6, Win Supreme 3" and 3.5" #5, Kent 3.5" #5 and Rem Nitro 3" #5). Did not seem too picky, but did not like the Federal with the "Flight Control Wad.""

Dead Turkeys,February 7, 2009
By lcole81185from Covington, GA
"By far the best turkey chokes on the market. Theyre made locally and are the best bang for the buck bc the most important thing is that turkey falling dead. I put this in my Benelli Super Nova 3 1/2" and was amazed at the pattern at 20 yds ripped a 2" circle through the target and at 75, still a dead bird. Ammo choice plays a big factor as I shot several loads but come back to my tried and true favorite Federal 3 1/2" 2oz shot #6 with the flite control wad. you must get the flight control wad. its a world of difference"

Just as important as the gun!,February 6, 2009
By NKram622from Conyers, GA
"I am not saying this is the best choke for every gun out there but it is the best I have used in mine. I am shooting a Charles Daly pump that I have had for a long time now. For years I have shot the regular chokes and have had success but my shots were limited a lot more. My pattern at 40 yards with any of my standard chokes was standard at best. With this choke I am patterning at 60 yards what I was doing at 40 yards with my old choke. This all depends on which shot you are using as well. I have found that while each choke is different so is each choke with different makes and sizes of shot. I say this because they are all not the same so you need to find what combination works best for you and the gun. The longest shot I have made yet was at 57 yards and it just dropped it right there with very little flopping around. For any one who has interest my set up is a Charles Daly 12 gauge pump, Gobblin thunder .680 choke, Winchester Supreme Elite Xtended Range. 3-1/2" 4 and 5 shot both work really well. I also have the red dot scope for more accurate shots especially when they are on the move. Try the choke and you will be glad you did. If it doesn't pattern as well as you hoped first try another type shot before switching to a different choke. Also works great in the Benelli Super Nova."

Good Long Distance Choke,January 19, 2009
By captainfrom Sapulpa, Ok
"I have been using the Kicks choke on my Mossberg 835 for the last three turkey seasons. This is the tightest choke I have ever used. It outperforms the factory chokes and holds a good pattern for a longer distance. I just bought one for my daughters remington 870 20 gauge. if it does as good as job as mine I think she will really be pleased with this chokes performance. Anyone that turkey hunts needs this choke."

best turkey choke,April 6, 2008
By Sureshotfrom North Carolina
"This is the best choke I have tried in my SBEII for turkeys. It patterns the Winchester 2.25 oz. #4 shells excellent out to 50 yards. It also does about the same with the Remington 2 oz. #5 shells. I have ordered two more of these for my other guns. I think you should call them in to 40 yards or less for a sure kill every time."

longbeards in KY,January 24, 2008
By turkeyhunter07from KY
"I got this choke two years ago and killed my first bird at 57 yards. I loved it so much I went out of state and hunted 2 weeks later and killed my second bird at 49 yards. My boy and my uncle could not beleave it but they both went and got the gobblin thunder and they love it to. I will not have another choke for my turkey gun ever."

Excellent for anyone,December 29, 2006
By Anonymous2
"I have used this choke on my Mossberg ever since I started hunting turkeys 5 years ago. I have nothing bad to say about it. I have killed at least two turkeys every year in my home state of Kentucky. I was 14 when I first started hunting, so if you want one of your children to have a chance for good success when the shot comes, this is the choke to use. It shoots a very tight pattern, and I would recommend the Gobblin' Thunder to anyone."

First Turkey at 60 yrds.,April 22, 2006
By Turkey Hunterfrom Grayson Co. Kentucky
"This choke helped my pattern by 20 shots at 45 yards. This is the best thing a young turkey hunter could ask for with the Remington heavy shot shells. I recently killed my first turkey at 60 yards with this new choke and the Remington Hevi Shot shells."
