CoPilot is a patented wireless remote steering system, designed specifically to work with Minn Kota PowerDrive motors manufactured after 1991. It features a small wireless remote, similar to an automobile keyless entry remote, that can take full command of your boat's steering and speed control. With CoPilot, you not only get a clean, uncluttered deck, you get fingertip control, versatility, and the flexibility to cast and fight fish from anywhere on the boat. In addition to the snap-lock rod mounting brackets, the CoPilot remote can also be used on your wrist or belt.

"I'm a bass fisherman that recently added the Copilot to my PD55. At first I tried using it solo without the foot pedal while fishing buzz baits in heavy cover. This was a big mistake, as I found myself pulling out the foot pedal after 10 minutes so I could free up my hands for fishing. However, this product works great when used in conjunction with the foot pedal while you’re fishing fast moving baits that require the constant use of both hands.
Another benefit is that I can set the motor to the slowest speed and run continuously, thoroughly worm fish heavy cover along a bank and not miss a spot or worry too much about boat position. The occasional change in direction is all that is needed. Plus I can control the motor from anywhere in the boat. It also keeps you from running back and forth when the winds are up and you have to leave the front deck for an extended period of time."

"This is an idea that was way overdue. So many times I would be at the wrong end of the boat to run the trolling motor. Now I can fix the backlash in my sons reel or put a leech on my wifes hook and still control the boat. The only problem was the one day i left the fob on the seat of my truck and i had to go back to the foot control. If only Minn Kota sold memory improvers."

"This gadget is a huge improvement over the foot pedal. It's easy to install and use, small size, and you never trip over it. "I used this product for 2 days this past weekend and I love it! Mounted the control on my baitcast rod and now I can do neverything with my thumb. I do a lot of vertical jigging and drop shot type presentations and this product is terrific for that. Lets me fish from anywhere in the boat. Improved boat control 100%. Highly recommend!"

"I love this thing, I love the uncluttered front deck. No wires or cables to get in the way to trip over or snag tackle. I put my control unit on a key ring and attached that to a neck lanyard. Don't have to worry about loosing it overboard or misplacing it. It's always at the ready and easy to find and use without looking. I was thinking that a remote foot unit would be great, but now that I've use the lanyard for a season, I see no need for it."
