25 lb. grass carp. Not 'zactly what I was looking for, but a fun fight anyway.
"I started out with one of these shirts when I saw them on sale. I now own three altogether and I am very happy with the performance and durability. They have a lot of good features that come in handy. The pockets use a hook and loop material that keeps your items safe from falling out and the right pocket has an inner zipper pocket where I keep my cell phone. Lots of ventilation including side vents to help you keep your cool. I also like the extra feature of the roll up collar which comes out to be almost as large as the one on Elvis's suit and really shades your neck on those blistering hot Floridays. Mine are a few years old now and after much hard use the only thing I've noticed is that the water repellant properties have faded, not a big deal in my book. More essential equipment for a comfortable and safe fishing trip."

"I bought two of these shirts (one long sleeve and one short) to use during tournament fishing. Both have performed great. They are extremely comfortable and have great cooling properties. The moisture wicking properties of the fabric combined with the ventilation work well together to make those 90 plus degree days bearable. With a light breeze, you’ll feel like you walked into an air conditioned room. The UV protection is a great added benefit and works as claimed. I will definitely be adding more to my wardrobe. They look great too, which makes for good casual wear. Definitely recommend!"

"I really like Columbia, North Face or MSR apparel for my outdoors stuff, but recently I could not find a columbia UPF rated shirt in small and decided to try this one from Bass Pro Shops instead. This is so much more than I expected. The UPF 50 is great and is very cool through out the midday sun. I was also surprised by the second set of air vents in the shirt that are positioned lower than the standard ones by the shoulders. I do not like the fact that this shirt is a little long for my small frame (5'6"), but I will still give it 5 stars for a very nice product."

"I bought this shirt for my Montana trip as well shirts from cabelos. This shirt performed just as good. I actually perfer this shirt becasue of the fit and feel and they look great for casual wear. The pockets have ample space for a fly box and other equipment. I also used this shirt in the GA summer heat, no problems keeping cool."

"These shirts are comparable to any high end fishing shirt on the market today. I own several in all colors. If they get wet they are dry in no time, the pockets can easily hold a small size fly box and the hidden zipper pocket holds your license and ID securly. Outfitted with your lanyard and two small boxes you have the perfect minimalist summer fly fishing set up. Just add fish."

Great Outdoor Fishing Shirt,November 24, 2006

"I have worn these shirts for the last 4 years and have more than one of each color, except white. These shirts are extremely durable, cool, and functional. My point is simple: They shield you from the harmful rays of the sun, especially, in Florida where the rays are more intense. Additionally, they keep you cool when fishing flats, mangroves, Lake Okeechobee and other fishing spots where the sun beats down on you all day long. This fishing shirt is absolutely the best. If you wear this shirt one full day, you will not buy others, because, they don't work as well, since, they do not keep you as cool in the summer."

World Wide Sportsman Pro IV shirt, long sleeve,August 11, 2006

"This is the only shirt I wear while working outdoors during the summer. Owing to problems with skin cancer, I avoid direct exposure to sun as much as possible, and this shirt does an excellent job. The shirt breathes well, and is soft and comfortable. After it gets wet with sweat, I feel relatively cool. It is stylish, too, and not limited solely to work. Occasionally, when it's really hot and the shirt gets soaked, I can rinse it out, hang it in the sun, and it will dry in 15 minutes. I have three of these shirts, and intend to buy more. Although my shirts are well worn, and have been washed many times, they still provide good protection against the sun. I cannot tell that any sun gets through the shirt to my back and shoulders even when I'm outside almost all day. I like the roomy breast pockets and velcro closures. I highly recommend this shirt. My only suggestion would be to have a greater selection of light colors."

"My husband and I both have these shirts. We have used them to go river rafting in AZ and he used them to take a motorcycle tour in July. We love them. Keeps you cool and comfortable in most weather. Lets air pass through. When wet dries very fast. Repels water. Will work well to keep the burning sun off and the cool air too. Fits well. Size is pretty much true. Have washed them several times and no shrinkage. I hang them damp to dry. Very stylish and useful too"
