Great Tasting Smoke,November 11, 2009
By Conservative1from Bartlesville, OK
Advantages: Long lasting, Quality
"These chips are great. They come in a great variety of woods/flavors. I have the hickory, apple and cherry. They all give awesome flavor in my smoker. A 1/2 bag of chips soaked overnight gives me about 8 hours of smoke. Price is pretty good too."

For me, these are as important as charcoal,March 19, 2008
By fishfanfrom IL
"I have a bag of each kind of wood, and I always add some wood to the fire each and every time I grill.
When I use the charcoal grill, I add these chips to the coals, and when I use the gas grill, I make a smoke pouch out of aluminum foil to place over the burner.
For the charcoal fire, dry wood chips are fine, but in the gas grill, I'll soak the chips for an hour before I put my smoke pouch together. With the gas grill, I like to control flair-ups, and the wet chips won't flair-up. The wet chips also seem to produce much more smoke than dry chips.
Try adding wood chips to your next grilled offering, and you'll see just how spectacular your favorite grilled foods can be.
My two favorites: Applewood with turkey or pork, and Hickory with just plain old steaks!"

Great For A Change,December 16, 2007
By sitrucfrom Mohave County, Arizona
"Anyone who uses a smoker knows that different wood types gives the meat a different flavor. If you are new to smokers give these a try and experiment a little, and remember everyone has different taste preferences, and you might just spice up an old favorite recipe."

Great,November 9, 2006
By blackdogsinkfrom Decatur, ILL.
"I love these chips. They are very convenient. You don't have to soak them for very long and they impart a delicious flavor. When they do dry out and start to burn, because they are smaller than chunk smoking wood, they don't burn as hot or long. This helps keeping the cooking time and temp more accurate. I prefer the Apple Chips, especially for pork."
