"Put down the lighter fluid and step away from the EZ light!!!
This little can and a few pieces of newspaper are all the you need in order to get good even coals in your grill.
This chimney starter is cheaper than most, and works just as well. I have even left it in the rain a few times... no problems yet!"

One of the best ideas yet for grilling,March 26, 2008

"I bought my first one of these on the advice of a friend, and I have to say they're as simple as they are practical.
Besides the obvious benefit of not needing starter fluids to get coals going, it also gets the coals "cook ready" hot in a fraction of the time that it takes with them piled up in the bottom of the grill. Crumpled newspaper is all it takes.
If you're cooking large cuts of meat that require longer cooking times and additional charcoal added to the fire, then another nice advantage of this gadget, is that you can get a second batch of coals started outside the grill while your cooking. This way, you're adding fresh hot coals to your fire instead of raw briquets. This will noticeably shorten your cooking time.
I have two of these for getting large batches of coals going for big weekend cookouts."

"I use this product with my smoker, and it is better than all of the other products put together. Use just 2 pieces of Newspaper under the starter, light, and about 20 minutes later your in business."

"This product works great, and I have used one for years. You can set unit full of charcoal over a gas grill burner or place any burnable material in the bottom compartment, and in 15 minutes or so your ready to grill. Best part is, it gives clean briquets with no starter taste or smell. Wont leave home camping without it....."
