A Must Have/ Two Suggestions, May 20, 2009

Advantages: Ease of use, Long lasting, Quality, Value for money, Well made/Durable

"The Bass Pro Seat is an excellent Additive to any camping enterauge. My Father has had one since 1978 ( I do believe it was made by coleman). It has been a blessing on many occasions. use it in a tent the boat or anywhere. No need to squat or lean over a log etc. Although i would suggest a 3-4 gallon bucket with a tight fitting lid. It fits under the seat perfectly. Its not your home toilet but it is somewher to sit for a little more comfort. No smelly porta jhons."

"This works well. I have had one in my commercial truck as a back up for those emergency moments when facilities are not accessable. The bags work well, but I have a few suggestions to those who are interested. First, I supplement the toilet with a small 3 gallon bucket just in case the bag malfunctions. I would suggest at least a gallon sized zipper freezer bag to place the waste bag in for disposal. Finally, it is a portable toilet, so the size is going to be small compared to a normal toilet. I wouldn't expect a lot of comfort from it, just function. That said, it does what it is supposed to, and I've had mine for four years without problems. I might also suggest putting a larger babies' diaper in the bag for liquid absorption. For someone worried about the frame, I would suggest getting a different style from Bass Pro, perhaps the seat that attaches to a 5 gallon bucket. Air freshener optional.."

Sadly Disappointed, October 21, 2007

"I have been very happy with the quality of Bass Pro merchandise over the years but must communicate how disappointed I am with this portable toilet. I bought mine in February 2007 and realized very quickly how small the seat was (about the size of a child's potty chair, if that), smaller than the average home commode and far too small for an adult-size behind. Although I am of average size and weight, after only six months the plastic seat disintegrated in pieces (while in use!) and that was that. So, I am now looking at Bass Pro for a better replacement. My confidence was shaken, but not my loyalty..."

"This seems to be a very sturdy portable toilet. The seat size is similar in size and comfort to an average indoor toilet. Height is about right also. I would say its a must for anyone who goes camping, has a medical problem, or just wants to have a backup toilet in their home for whatever reason. I guess as long as you have the privacy it can even be used in the car. Can't go wrong for the price."

"It's easy to set up, works fine. I ran out of bags, and used a trash bag. I don't recommend that method though...spring for the bags, they are worth it. Keep the box for handy packing.
Worth the money."

"This product is so slim to pack in the trunk, uses bags you simply throw away ,and no clean up. We have used it for the kids in the minivan in emergencies and would be VERY useful to ladies and young girls not wanting to hike to the bathroom in the middle of the night while camping. It is a great height for children and easy to use for adults as well. No worries on vacation now... pack and go!"

"I am a girly-girl but as a Mother of 4 boys and a Cub Scout Den Leader, I realize that I have to suck it up and camp. The facilities at some of the camp sites we have gone to have been terrible. My husband bought me this and while other Mom's were complaining about the bathroom situation, I was happy because everything was clean. I kept toliet paper and hand santizer in the tent and I was good to go AND didn't have to leave the tent in the middle of the night."
