Stella 10k -- a proven tarpon killer,June 27, 2007
By TampaTarponator
"Lots of reels are good for a year or two, but the Stella is the finest spinning reel I've ever owned. I have owned a Stella 10000 for six years and this reel has caught many, many tarpon. Paired with between 50 and 80lb braid, this reel has stood up to everything I've ever thrown at it, and only required two new bearings throughout it all. A product I would recommend in a second if you can justify the price -- there is no finer spinning reel."

Best Spinning Reel Ever,June 16, 2007
By dorado guy
"I own 4 of the big Stella Spinning Reels. We fish for general salt water species including dorado, ling, kingfish, snapper, white marlin, sailfish, wahoo and smaller tuna. These reels loaded with 50# braid just work great and hold up well. I bought one and used it for a year to see how it would hold up to saltwater and have been very pleased. My highest recommendation for these."

stella 6000 FA,November 2, 2006
By DaleDaFishermanfrom Bloomington,IL
"This reel is by far the best investment I've ever made. At just under $600.00 it's a bit pricey, but worth every penny. It's drag is silky smooth and tough as nails. My friends all thought i was crazy for spending so much on one reel, but after they got their hands on it they did not want to give it back. I use it primaraly for musky and big river cats and one day I'd like to hook into a big sturgon. I plan on taking this reel to the amazon with me next year and fish for some of the biggest fish there. Bottom line you get what you pay for, buy a cheap reel get poor performance, buy a quality reel and well you know."

Shimano Stella 20000,July 12, 2006
By Muddskipper of the Deepfrom Everything is bigger in TEXAS including the FISH
"For the ultimate in big game spinning reels you need to look no further.
Reason to purchase: To many inferior big game reels destroyed by marauding Yellow Fin Tuna.
I was feed up, and decided to invest in the best.
Shimano's Stella is Shimano's top of the line Spinning reel to date.
The 20000 Stella (the largest) has a big Drag to challenge even the biggest of 200lb class monsters of the deep.
Its line capacity fit the bill and spooled up with a 65lb braided It held right at 600 yards and had just enough room for some flora-carbon leader.
Its 4:1 gear ratio is not as high as it sister the 10000 Stella (6:1) but I needed a little lower gear to get a leg up on the bruisers of the deep.
My next Reel will be the 10000 Stella to focus on jigging but for now, I plan on tossing 10" top-waters just beyond the lights while drifting offshore nearly 100 miles from land.
The explosion in unbelievable, and having the right REEL to land the fish is "PRICELESS!?
BUY IT! You wont be disappointed."
