IM6 Graphite Rods, March 21, 2006
By Man going Toggin' from Norfolk, Va

"I was in BPS Hampton, Va. yesterday and saw these rods for a great deal. I bought 2 of them and went fishing. I have never seen nor tried for a musky but these rods worked great in saltwater fishing for tautog. For those who are unfamiliar, tog they are hard running down deep fighters, with a sensative bight. The rod had enough backbone to handle 6-8oz of lead and still get them out of the rocks/wreckage,as well as a light enough tip to feel their soft nibble. This rod landed several Tog in the 5lb range and 1 in the 12. Great investment. going to purchase a couple more."

Best All Around Rod I Have, December 13, 2008
By Bluewater

"I am a wildlife biologist and guided in the past. I have used this rod for several years and the 6'3" rod is the only light weight inexpensive rod I have found that will take 40 lb line. I have caught several 150+ lb sharks, cobia, cuda, snapper, and kings on this rod with a 7000 abu reel. Although the reel has gone up some in price it is still worth the money. I currently have 4 of them. The only change I have made is to add a gimbal at the end for my fighting belt. I have had used them hard and they are all still working great."

Serious Bang for the Buck, August 23, 2008
By MedicMike from Northern New Jersey

"Got a Bass Pro gift certificate for my birthday-I was looking for a good all-around inshore rod for use in NJ. I have now used it twice for fluke [summer flounder] fishing in the ocean-holy cow! I have the 7' medium-heavy action model-very sensitive and very light in weight. It had plenty of backbone to handle 8oz sinkers in strong currents and to lift 4lb fluke off of the bottom in 50+ feet of water. The ONLY reason I don't give it 5 stars is that I would like to see a double-ring locking reel seat. To spend any more on a rod is silly. I will definitely be purchasing another one of this model as well as others meant for lighter work."
