GS series Graphite Rods,May 26, 2006
By BassAckwardsfrom Central North Carolina
"I own and have owned virtually every rod manufactured at some time or another. I purchased 2 of these rods to replace one AllStar that was lost into the water as a result of a paddle boat. Anyway After purchasing 2 I went back and bought 2 more.. This rod is so sensitive and has a soft tip and a very strong backbone. I didn't need but one of the rods but now I own 4 of them to add to some 40 other rods I own.. Another point is that they, Bass Pro must have some exceptional company making these blanks. Many of the blanks commercially available as "name brands" are made with the backbone not straight which changes the action and torque when fishing. These rods all seem to be very straight and the action of each of type is very reliable and similar, one to the other... Not so with many... Try one of these rods and I think if you think you need another rod you'll buy another..."

"this rod is awesome for a 35 dollar rod. This rod is I think more sensative than a rod that costs 150 dollars why pay more for less when you can spend less and get more."

Great Rods,August 6, 2009
By RAYLAYfrom New Bern, NC
Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Value for money Disadvantages: none!
"I really like these rods for the price. I own All-Stars and Falcons and they are great rods, but for the price you really can't beat the Graphite Series. I really don't notice any quality or performance differences that would make me spend the extra bucks. Not to mention that this rod series does not have the terrible "power hump" like the other BPS rods.
If you find a great deal on All-Star or Falcon, by all means jump on it - I certainly would. But for the money this could be the rod for you. I pass on the spinning rods though, I do not like the reel seats."

Great value priced rod,August 5, 2009
By Curtyloves2fishfrom Omaha, NE
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money
"I recently purchased a 7' MH graphite IM6 rod and it is performing extremely well. Sensitive enough to fill the little bites and enough backbone to land them no problem. Wish it had the open blank where the reel seat is so you could have even more feel but you can spend a little more and get a tourney special and they do have that."

Good Rod,June 24, 2009
By DaBassPimpfrom Tampa, FL
Advantages: Value for money
"The BPS Graphite Series Trigger Rod is a pretty good deal. For about $30, its is very cheap compared to similar rods. I have the Medium Action version and it has good bend and good sensitivity. I would recommend this rod to anybody who is looking for an inexpensive rod."

By cuguy0384from Ohio
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money
"Since this is my first baitcaster rod, I don't really know how to compare it. All I can say is that for the money, I couldn't really ask for much else. I have the 6'6" M Fast action 1 piece, and i'm gonna order another couple."

Great rod for price,June 1, 2009
By BazzBustrfrom Warner Robins, GA
Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Value for money
"Got one on sale for $19 and its a Great rod for beginners. The backbone and sensitivity is good for its price range, and my flipping stick handled a 7+ lb fish with no trouble at all. only negative is that the inner rings of my first rods guides fell off, but bass pro exchanged with no questions asked, and my new one performs flawlessly."

By Sox19from Beecher, IL
Advantages: Quality, Style/Design, Value for money
"It is sensitive and light. I have the 6'6" MH with a BPS Extreme reel, with 12# line on it. I feel everything with this rod. I will only buy the IM-6 now, unless the IM-7 is on sale, no more Ugly Stik's. You can't beat the rod your getting for the price."

o.k.,May 27, 2009
By basscatcher93from pleasant grove, alabama
Advantages: Value for money Disadvantages: Durability
"i bought this rod with a combo and i've had it for 3-4 weeks, and the end of the bottom rod handle has cracked. I'm go'in to try to super glue it. If that doesn't work I'm go'in to buy an allstar rod. this rod has a b-handle, 7' medium action, and is not all that sensitive. But what do you get for that cheap."

Great rod for the price.,May 22, 2009
By dthrowerfrom Southwest Missouri
Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Value for money
"I bought a 7ft MH rod to go with a Quantum Accurist I bought during the spring fishing classic. I went fishing a couple weeks ago and used it for the first time. The rod has plenty of backbone. I had no problem pulling fish out off the brush. I was also able to pull my lure out of the brush when I was snagged. If you have to fish on a budget I dont think you can beat this rod."

Good rod,May 14, 2009
By zoomguyfrom Boerne,TX
"I like the price of this rod more than anything. It is sensitive and light. Have the 7' MH seated with a BPS extreme reel(great reel by the way) and use it for swimming jigs, spinners, buzzers, and C-rigs. A great purchase especially for 30-40 bucks."

Durable and High Quality,May 4, 2009
By n5tffrom South Mississippi
Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money, guides
"I have now replaced all my All-Stars with these rods. I do alot of Tournament Fishing in the Bass Federation, BFL and Local tournaments and these rods are by far the best for the money that I have ever used. They are better than American Rodsmiths, All-Stars and Castaway. The guides are heavy three prong Fuji guides and the action on the 7' medium is perfect for crankbaits, chatterbaits and spinnerbaits...Could not be happier since I made the swap."

Great rod for the price!!!!,April 26, 2009
By LDM2
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money
"I recently purchased a 6'6 MH graphite series trigger rod to go along with a Quantum Accurist baitcaster. For the Price, you cant beat it. Great sensitivity, strength, and very lightweight. It's also very durable considering i have accidentaly lifted the rod tip up into a running cieling fan multiple times. The only Problem i have had with this rod is that when i used a heavier lure (3/8 oz spinnerbait) the reel would pop out of the reel seat when i casted, But it was a combination of both the reel and the rod because i put a diawa baitcaster on the rod and it worked fine. This would be a bad problem but after tightening the reel seat with pleirs i've never had the problem again. (with the Quantum Accurist) I give this rod 5 stars mainly because of the price. When i bought it i never imagined that it would perform so well for so little money.
I'm even considering buying a few Graphite Series spinning rods matched up with a penn or shimano reel to use for saltwater fishing."

Nice for the money!!!!!!,April 19, 2009
By yellowdogfrom Castaic, California
Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Value for money
"Went into BPS to buy this rod in a 7' MH, they only has it in the 7' Med but I needed another rod so I purchased it. Mated it with BPS tournament LTD. What a great combination. It cast 1/2oz crank baits a mile. Although I haven't caught anything yet on it, I'm sure it will do everything I need it for."

Great bang for your buck.,April 16, 2009
By tigerhunterfrom Upstate New York
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money
"This rod is great. I first had a two piece and my line got caught on the end when I was casting and I lost the top end of the rod. I will never buy a 2 piece rod ever again.
I bought the same rod but a 1 piece and love it. I have caught everything from panfish to tiger muskies and this rod can handle both. I mostly fish for large fish and am surprised that this rod handles them quite as well. I shut the tip in my car door and broke off 1", I glued on a new tip and good as new, caught hundreds of fish since.
I was using a Pflueger rod and reel combo and kept missing fish. As soon as I switched over to this rod I started landing fish. It has the backbone to handle big fish, the sensitivity to feel the strikes and the price to fit anyones budget. This is by far the best rod for you money, I have just purchased the Musky version and cannot wait to try it."

Excellent rods,March 20, 2009
By Greatoutfitfrom Branson, MO
"After purchasing one of these rods I don't see any sense in ever purchasing a rod for more than thirty five dollars. These rods are made of quality materials at a cheap price. I used a medium heavy seven foot rod with a circle baitcaster for pike in CO and though I only caught a small one, I found these rods to be light and comfortable to use while casting all day long. The blanks are very strong and sturdy but also are sensitive enough to pick up pike on a tube jig."

GREAT DEAL.,March 16, 2009
By CASTMASTERfrom CALI
"THIS ROD IS REALLY SOLID AND WORKS UP TO ITS ABILITY TO HOLD DOWN AND PULL IN ALOT OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF FISH. I OWN THE 7'6 HEAVY ROD,BUT AFTER ALOT OF TIMES CASTING OUT JIGGING/SWIMBAITS ITS GETS PRETTY TIRESOME BECAUSE OF THE HEAVY FEEL TO IT."
