"I really need to just catch up reviewing baits like this that have brought me so many big fish. I have to remind myself to throw this lure since there are so many new styles to chose from. But this one is another big fish bait that when it produces does it in big ways. For largemouth bass it's a real winner but use heavy tackle. Minimum 20lb line is best with a heavy rod to get control of those big bass quickly."

Heddon Lucky 13,August 29, 2008
By mokanfrom missouri ozarks
"I'm a big fan of the Lucky 13. Have a collection of about 40 in my tackle boxes. At times the fish are so many and so huge, that I thought it really deserved collecting. Old-time, classic bait. It will catch everything in the water. Awesome lure! I plan on trying it for pike and musky, next time I'm up north. Will pick up a couple new ones from BPS. Recommended."

Best Popper, Ever,September 28, 2007
By BigE
"This is my favorite popper. I have caught more bass with this popper than all others. This lure is versatile. You can reel it fast, about 1 foot under the surface, you can do quick jerks to do a "walk the dog" retrieve, or you can just make it pop."

Good,July 19, 2007
By Skaggsfrom Bonner Springs, KS
"Used the large 5/8 oz Lucky 13, friend at work recommended using it on an early morning Kansas hot day. On the third cast right in front of some weeded grassy area, got a strike. Fish immediatly took it and ran, and my 4 pound line snapped. I didn't even have to pop it like the directions say too. Make sure you have a heavy Lb test on line and be ready, Going to be heading to the store soon to restock with this lure, Will probably buy two this time."

Lucky 13,January 27, 2007
By Mcgruff
"This is my favorite all time lure , it is great for rivers or lakes to about 6 feet deep .. Will dive enough without plowing straight down to the snags on the bottom , also floats back up to get over logs and such.. I'm disapointed to only see the No.4 pattern in the baby size.. It should be offered in both sizes.. this thing catches fish.."

Heddon's Masterpeice,January 18, 2007
By bassharrierfrom Altoona Pa.
"This lure has been the demise of most of the big bass that I have caught here in Pa. Including the biggest, a 24 in. 8 lber. For a couple of years my supply was low and I didn't fish the last two that I had for fear of losing them. Since there reintroduction i've added them back to my must have lures and continue to catch big bass just like I did years ago.
Only now, I have enough to last a lifetime."
