Advantages: Functional/Useful, Long lasting, Quality
"Just purchases the .25 #5 grinder. Works excellent. I ground about 30 lbs on vension in minutes. Purchased a cheaper grinder prior to this one that broke due to plastic gears. This grinder does have metal gears.
Easy, durable, and very efficent grinder. Haven't had and clogs yet.

Happy with it,

"I purchased this grinder 2 years ago. The first one they sent me didn't work correctly (motor turned in reverse), but the replacement has been great. I used to grind by hand. I'll never go back as long as I have electricity. Super easy to use and clean. Doesn't get clogged up like my old cranker."

Awesome Grinder,

By Scottrn001

Advantages: Functional/Useful, Quality, Style/Design
"I bought the #8 .35hp grinder and so far I couldn't be happier with it. I was able to grind and stuff about 30lbs of vinison into wild game bags in about an hour without any problems, no clogging or needing to stop to clean the blade.
Awesome grinder and very easy to use and clean up is fairly easy.
If you are going to be processing your own wild game buy one of these electric grinders.

Worth the money,

"I bought the #12 - 3/4hp and I just put 100 lbs of deer meat through it and it had no plugs or any hint of slowing down. I also bought the cleaning kit and foot pedal. both are worth the extra money. I ran the grinder for more than 4 hours straight with no overheating. The only complaint is the stuffing tube would only hold 10-12 sausage links worth of casing at a time."

Worth the money,

"I opted to go with the #32 grinder......knowing that bigger is always better when it comes to hunting. I did purchase this unit about 4 years ago when it was $100 less.
The real reason I went bigger is that if you process a lot of meat, you will find the smaller grinders may clog after a while if there is a lot of fat and the occasion tendon or two. They just don't have the push to cut through the tough pieces.
As I said, I've had my unit for over 4 years. I've never had any problems, it never clogs, no mechanical problems(and it's even been dropped off a 6' high shelf with no problems- thanks wifey), it will grind as much meat as you can put in front of it. I've used it for deer and snapping turtle meat with great results.
It's a costly buy, but it will pay for itself over time"

"Hey,
I just bought the #12 which is .75 hp. I wanted the 1.5 hp but could not swing the extra cash. I am happy that I did not because the .75 hp is unbelievealbe. I just put up 51 lbs. of deer burger this afternoon which was my first experience grinding my own meat. The .75 hp unit I have will grind meat faster than I can load it into the shute. I did not experience any type of overload at any time. The motor was never in a strain at all. I bought the foot switch to go with mine and it was a God send. Grinding up six deer hams like I did would have been a pain without the foot switch. I don't think that the average person would need anything bigger than the .75 hp. I bought the wild game bags to put my groun meat in and the grinder worked perfectly with them. I ground my meat then took the small die out and replaced it with the sausage stuffer die with the stuffing tube. I then ran all my ground meat back through and let the grinder stuff the meat into the wild game bags. Each bag will hold from about 1 3/4 lbs of meat if stuffed full. All in all let me say that I could not be more pleased with this grinder. It did everything that I would have hoped for and more. You will not be disappointed if you spend your money on this. I will say again that I don't see how anyone could need more than .75 hp for home use. From what I saw this evening there is no need to spend more money on more hp when .75 will grind meat as fast as you can feed it. I hope this helps.

3/4 horse is all you need,
January 12, 2009
By BowTechMan

"My brother-in-law and I decided to go in and buy the 3/4 horse grinder and few accessories needed to process our own deer. Best decision ever. The L.E.M. grinders are the best grindrs for the money by far. You cant beat the warranty and customer service. This grinder has yet to fail on us and when you add it up we processed around 12 deer this year, not all ours, but never the less that would be 60.00 a pop at the cheapest processor. Payed for itself twice in one season!!!"

Great Grinder,
December 4, 2008
By ILFlyfisher

"I have the #8 (.35 hp) grinder. I have been using this product for over two years now. It has never failed me or let me down. I would recommend it to anyone who harvests a few deer (or other big game species) a year and would like to expand their processing abilities. For the do-it-yourself meat processor, this product is a must! (btw, it pays for itself in the first year by not paying for someone else to process your meat for you)."

Super,

"I got the .75 and got the .35 for my daugther, who likes to make a lot of her own grind. I'm a meat cutter and can use a larger grinder at work, but this one does the job with no problem. My daughter and son-in-law say their's does the job when they grind their venison. My son-in-law loves it and says it saves them a lot of money not having someone else grind it."

Must have if your a self-processor!,

"I just purchased the .75 meat grinder and used it to process two deer. The only problem I had is with the 3/16 fine grinder plate. After grinding the meat using the course plate, I ground it a second time for burger and had to stop to clean the 3/16 plate several time's b/c it would get clogged with sinew & fat. Other than that, it worked fine. I would recommend also getting the cleaning kit and the foot pedal control."

.35 HP Meat Grinder,

By coolmillion

"Worked well, but it does not grind as much meat per hour as advertised. I double ground the meat through the fine grind on the second trip. Worked very well and was a lot better then a cheaper grinder I had for 2 seasons before it broke."

Very Impressed,

"My wife and sons bought me a LEM #12 grinder for Christmas. I am very impressed with the quality. I ground 80# of deer in less than 20 minutes. Did not have to stop once to unclog the plate or cutter. This thing is a pleasure to work with.
Highly recommend this to everyone interested in processing their own game. It made the job MUCH simpler.

"I bought the 1.5 hp grinder. Anyone doing a fair amount of meat should get the foot switch for this grinder because its hard to keep up with. The only thing I see this grinder needs is a reverse. I have owned size 12 and 22 grinders and I'm glad I have the larger grinder now it cuts out tons of time. I can grind a whole deer in less than half the time. good product"

Review of .75 hp LEM grinder,
January 12, 2007
By swschult
from Maryland
"LEM grinders are good, and this year's models with the stainless steel head and auger are probably even nicer than my last year's model with Niploy-coated head and auger. Nothing wrong with Niploy coating, but I think the stainless steel will be a little easier to clean.
My only problem came when grease somehow started showing up in the meat. I called LEM and they are going to send me an O-ring which should fix the problem. Not everyone will need the capacity that comes with a .75 model, but when I made a 10-lb. batch of brats a week or so ago, I was glad to have it.
There are a few nice features, including the carrying handle, which many grinders do not have. The handle also helps support the meat tray, which I think is a nice feature.
It would be nice if the grinder were a little taller: to get the "exhaust" into a large bowl, you have to raise the grinder by installing the optional leg extensions, or by putting books or something underneath the grinder-- but this is only a trifling inconvenience. Overall, this is a good grinder and I would recommend it to anyone."
