"My kids got this lure for me for Christmas. One afternoon I took my oldest daughter out bank fishing a pond full of largemouth bass and bluegill. She tied up one of these in the Bumble Bug color and caught two nice bass almost back to back. She ended the day with 20 bluegill and 7 bass. She caught so many fish I had to replace the hooks after that. The next night I took my next oldest daughter and my niece, her first fishing trip, to the same ponds. My niece used this lure all night and her first fish was the biggest bass I have seen come out of that little pond. A few days latter my wife and I were out fishing at a river where fly fishermen frequent when she hooked into a beautiful 14” rainbow trout. She just let it drift down in the current and then started retrieving it and this fish just slammed it. If you want something that can catch a lot of fish, both variety and quantity, this is a must have. If you have kids this is a must have, they will just love throwing it out. If you like to night fish this is a must have the wide wobble of this lure just calls to them. You can fish it slow on top or just straight retrieve. The fish love it both ways. This is my family’s favorite lure."

Bumble bug!

,
March 4, 2012

Advantages: Style/Design, Performs well, Quality, Ease of use, Value for money
"My favorite color is the bumble bug! It looks just like a bumble bee! When I first got this lure, and got it of the box,I thought it was big! But when the bumble bees started buzzing around, I saw one that was about the size my thumb. So I decided to try out the bumble bug, and it worked like a charm on the brookies! I also have all the other colors, including the lady bug pattern. They work well on perch!"

Way too easy to miss fish

,

Advantages: Style/Design, Performs well
Disadvantages: Performance, too small of hooks
"The hook to lure ratio, just isn't right. Fish seem to never get their mouth around this bait. I usually try to use it on an ultralight to try and catch a few small bass for a good fight with 2 lb. line. But never works for me."

Not a Texas lure

,
December 27, 2011
By Warphreaque
Advantages: Ease of use, Style/Design, Performs well, Value for money, Quality
Disadvantages: doesn't perform well in darker and muddy water
"I have used this lure every chance that I thought it would produce fish but has only triggered strikes from small bream. From what I heard from other reviews I have read that this bait produces for bass, blue gill, and even trout. From my fishing experience I have only fished this lure in stained and muddy Texas waters that don't have trout but many bass and blue gill. I like the wobble, size, and colors but I believe the bait is more of a clearer water bait, which is why I didn't rate the lure lower than 4 stars. I believe through my experiences that the bait is much better in clearer water and everything is great but doesn't catch many fish in darker water."

LWX-1

,
April 22, 2011

"AR-Gasket missing, no user manual enclosed, Printed Circuit Board from Interface Module was out of the case. Don't know if the LWX-1 will work or not. Sent E-Mail to Lowrance; no response from them. Mounted the LWX-1 on boat anyway. Will not know if iy works until sometime in May. Not a happy camper at this point."

Big Bug = Big Fish

,
April 6, 2011
By JustinP
from Harrisburg, PA
Advantages: Style/Design, Performs well
"This is a really fun crankbait! Fish of all creeds cant help but be curious and hit this bait. I've had all sorts of panfish and bass on this bait of all sizes. I read in another review about chaning the hook size which is really a good idea. This will help you get better hook sets on those buckets mouths, but not so much the little guys. I like the stop and rise method on the retrieve with a small twitch on top. Can't expect anything less from Rebel."

Great Pond Bait

,
March 23, 2011
By coolcat
from Inola Okla.
Advantages: Ease of use, Style/Design, Performs well, Value for money, Quality
"I fish in a two different ponds that nearly qualify as small lakes . These work well around the edges in the shallow pockets . I changed the hooks to red ones in size 12 and occasionally they do get fouled with each other but not often . I do catch a few bluegills and crappie but mostly largemouth . Bass will do a number on the tiny hooks that come on these lures . Once I changed the hooks I caught nearly every hookup . Before the hook change I lost at least 1/2 the larger bass we hooked into . Somedays this bait is really a supper bait . But when its not on don't spend to much time with it ."

"This little lure has sure suprised me. I have caught all kinds of panfish and bass with it. Many times on my first cast I catch something. I have it in several colors and just try one till I catch something and that usually does not take long. Keep these in your tackle box and you should catch fish quickly."
