"A friend of mine was having good success catching fish on a Super Spook Jr and had an extra one with him (the clear one) which he let me borrow. It was amazingly easy to walk the dog with this lure, it casts a mile and the rattles in it call up the bass. On my 3rd cast there was a blowup on the water and my line started going out after a minute or so I landed a 6 lb, 9oz striper! I'm starting to collect some of the different colors of these and I will always have some with me in the future. I was completely blown away by this lure and how well it works. They say that this is a "must have" lure in your tackle box, now I know why. Get some!"

"to put it plain ans spimple this is the best walk the dog bait thats out! you can fish it for 6inches of water out to 30ft. you can also catch quality fish on it any time of the year. my favorite time being from early may to later november. my favorite color is speckeld trout. this bait will catch big bull reds, jacks, snook, speckeld trout and last but not least good ol large mouth and spotted bass. do yourself a favor and try a zarra spook!"

"When i ordered this in the BPS catalog, i thought it looked exactly like the original Zara Spook, but this has a lot more things built into it. The rattle is great for drawing Pre-spawn bass from cover and the detailed colored designs tempt fish into bighting even more. The second time i used this lure it was a cloudy calm day and on the 2nd or 3rd cast i caught a nice 3 pounder. a few casts later i caught another fat 3 pounder. Heddon really made a great lure."

"When i first used this bait i thought it was going to be very difficult to retrieve. But after a few casts i caught the hang of it. Ever since i've used this bait everywhere i go. I recently visited a little lake in Brandon, Florida. I threw the bait along shore, once it was directly over a concrete drain structure a monster fish blew up on it. After a pretty good fight i brought it in. It weighed around 9 or 10 pounds. This is the best topwater walk the dog lure."

Easiest walking lure to use,May 31, 2009

"I've had this lure for almost a year and didn't get to fish until this last weekend. And though the conditions were not right for topwater, blue bird sky, hot, and little wind, I thought I would give it a shot.
Third cast, maybe four twitches in to the retrieve and a decent 2 pounder hit it. My first topwater fish ever. One thing I would recommend though is changing the hooks toa premium hook, I like gamakatsu ewg trebles for all my crankbaits.
Give this one a shot, there's tons of colors so something is bound to work where you fish. Tie one on and have fun."

"I love topwater fishing it's very exciting I've been a faithful popper fisherman for years and have used stick bates in the past I just always had a lot of luck with poppers. Well I was out one day and lost my last popper to a tree so I tied on a spook landed 7 smally's and my poppers spent most of it's time in the box ever since. great lure great action can cast it a mile and it's a lot of fun to fish. I still love my popper though"

"I have the 5" Super Spook. This is the farthest casting bait i have ever cast. It will easily go about 3 times farther than an average bass lure. With an overhand cast, it is very hard to cast it so it travels close to the surface of the water. Every time you cast, it goes straight up for the sky like a rocket, yet it still goes extremely far. This is how i lost some of them when fishing from the bank and they end up going into the tree above me. Walking the dog can be mastered in no-time with these. I would however change out the hooks because they rust out pretty quickly, unlike the original zara spooks."

"This is a great topwater lure! It is definitely my goto bait, not too good around weeds, the open hooks grab everything. But by far is my goto lure, in the past 2 years of owning mine i have caught more bass, pike and musky than can count. Its fullof teeth marks, time to buy a new one for sure."

"So far so good with this topwater bait. The side to side action and rattles in this thing will get bass attention. I purchased the (02) Bone color Super Spook Jr. about a year ago. I always saw this in my tacklebox and decided you know what I'm going to give this a try. For topwater, I always used poppers but I was curious about the action of this bait. Within a 1/2 hour of throwing this bait I got 2 nice blowups. I missed the first one, but it sure did bump it though. Minutes later, the second one almost inhaled it. Didn't have a scale but it had to be 3 1/2 - 4lbs. Don't let the Jr. name fool ya. It is plenty big to interest anysize bass."
