Loba and the wolf pup, she likes the trout already!
User submitted photo
"I have fished from a bellyboat for the past 15 years, and this is one of the most fun tubes I have ever owned. I have been using this particular model for the past 3 years (only mine is blue, not yellow) and it is awsome. The stitching is still solid as the day I bought it and the bladders have never leaked. It cuts through the water like a sail boat and is very stable on choppy white caps. I fish this tube 3-5 days a week from April to October on our local lake, and take it up to some high mountain lakes in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado several times each summer. I can deflate this tube, fold it up in a nice little square, drop it in a panyard and pack it to the top of the mountain horseback. It only takes about 15 minutes to blow it up by mouth, 5 if you pack a little pump and your set to jet!
The mesh area behind the back rest is grand for storage and makes a kickin livewell for the trout I toss in there. The pockets vary in size and width, and big enough for a box of spinners and a fly box or two. I can pack a fly rod and a spinnin rig easily as this tube is nice and roomy. The rod holder in the front is good when you are releasing a fish, but isn't handy for storing the extra rod, so I have added velcro holder on the left side to store an extra rod.
Last year I scored a model 120 "Fishin Buddy" (from Bass Pro), which attaches nicely to the side of the tube using an optional float tube attachment strap. It doesn't mess up the way the tube travels thru the water and has turned me onto some kickin big trout in new waters all over these high mountain lakes.
I would recommend this tube to anyone who wants to try float tubin or wants to upgrade from the traditional round tubes. I won't ever go back to the step-in tubes again.

Have fun, catch a bunch, and release often.

A great ride, July 3, 2007
By Pancho from Whittier CA

"This float tube is great in that it allows you to adjust your seat back rest by cinching up the adjustable straps on both side of the seat angeled to join the seat back rest. The pontoons are wide enough and long enough to hold my 210 pound body well above the water. It tracks easy on the water and is fairly easy to make turns. It has plenty of zippered pouches to hold everything you might want to bring out on the water with you for a full day of fishing. Overall a great tube for fishing."

Amazing Floater, June 27, 2007
By WyoJames

"Living in Wyoming, there are only a few fishing spots close to me with trout so fishing the same areas constantly became very dismal and annoying, however, after purchasing this float tube, it has made the same areas enjoyable to fish again. The assembly is very easy and the construction of the materials is top notch. I would reccomend this as a gift to any freshwater fisherman or a splurge buy because you wont regret purchasing it once you use it."

Outstanding Product, June 17, 2007
By Steve

"I live in South Korea as a independent contractor; the Large Mouth Bass was introduced in Korea Resievors around the early 70's and has truely made a bad name for itself, preying on all the native inhabitants. Enough history... There are very very few boat landings here; access to bodies of water are - carrying all equipment to the waters edge. Most of the time with steep inclines to negotiate; slippery edges and vines that will make you wish you wore armor instead of shorts and tee shirt. I have used this product for 5yrs, a minimum of 15 times a year and have probably a % of the air still remaining in the tube when it was first inflated. I have worn out 2 pairs of US diver rocket fins (a must - due to power and flexability in the water). The only quality item I can mention is - the sun bleaches/fades the color which detracts from the tubes overall presentation. There are enough storage compartments for all fishing styles; extremely stable in the white cap - open waters (fear factor 7.8). sturdy enough to hail my 104kg mass with grace."

Fishing From a Lazy Boy, June 16, 2007
By Joey from Baltimore MD.

"FIRST IMPRESSION- I just got my new Trout Unlimited Togiak (Black and Yellow) and I t is impressive. It took about 15 minutes to get set up and inflated. If I would have read the directions first it would have taken less then 5 minutes to get set up. After I got it inflated I stood there amazed. The quality is very good. All of the seams were well stiched. The shell material is a nylon cordura type. It has tough zippers. I took it to the Gunpowder river (a narrow, slow moving and mostly shallow river near Baltimore MD.) and hopped right in. All I can say is that it is like fishing from a Lazy-Boy recliner!!! It is very comfortable.

FEATURES- Who ever designed it thought pretty hard about the small features. There are carry handles on all sides, enough pockets to store more tackle, snacks and tools then you'll ever need and the seat bottom is filled with 3.5-4 inch thick closed cell foam. The tube doesn't close down around you when you sit in it. There are "D" rings to teather your pliers or a net to. It comes with two patches and some glue to repair any tears or holes. It also has backpack straps that allow you to shoulder the tube when the water gets shallow or for that walk to or from the truck. There are velcro straps to secure your rod. Also there is a heavy mesh netting behind you (between the point of the tube and your back) that allows you to store anything that you dont mind getting wet, like a stringer full of rainbows!! There are more "D" rings inside that storage area to secure whatever you put there. Spend an extra $20 and get a good pump, it would take hours to blow up by mouth.

PERFORMANCE- Like I said, fishing from this thing was like floating down the river in a recliner! I am 5'11" tall and 220 punds and I sat high up out of the water. The water never came any higher then my belt line. I definately suggest purchasing some swim fins if you plan to do anything other than drift. Kicking my feet with old tennis shoes on didnt do much to propel me, but I could keep the tube facing any direction I liked. I would also suggest getting some rope and a carabiner so you can secure the tube to something if you get out to wade.

It definatley gets the 5 star rating. I usually wade when the tempurature goes up and have never used a float tube before today. The Trout Unlimited Togiak makes me wish I had bought a tube years ago and is going to make those wading trips even better. There are places that you cant get to even when you wade... with the Togiak there is nothing stopping you from getting right out in the middle of a hole and fishing those unreachable spots.

Great Tube, February 13, 2007
By FarmerTed from Ft Collins, CO

"I purchased my Togiak tube around a year ago and it has greatly expanded my fishing. The tube is stable, manuverable, and the backpack straps allow me to portage the tube, fully loaded, to an out of the way pond. There's a lot of storage and I've fitted mine with a rod holder, fish finder, and additional tackle storage. The durability has been great. It has faded a little from the sun (I use it a lot!) but I haven't had any problems with construction or quality. It fits in the back of a small hatchback when partly inflated. A great way to access those out of the way waters."
