"When you hear the name G Loomis you immediately think the best, and this is no exception. This is a great entry level Loomis. Great feel, lightweight, and performance driven. I own a flippin stick GL2 and it is by far the best rod I own. If you want to own a Loomis without breaking the bank then this is the rod for you."

"I have had this gl2 loomis rod and lets just say this is the best rod for the money, it has made me a better angler, I can feel the bottom a lot better and when you feel the bite all you fell is a thud, great rod I will be buying more of these rods,"

"I have quiet few of each strong brand names on rods, but this one G-Loomis GL2 impressed me a lot... I heard from some anglers that after some time the tip of the G-Loomis will break, but I can not confirm that because I just got it... "I have three GL 2's , 6' M, 6' MH, 6'6"MH all fast action. These are great rods for the money. Very light weight, sensitive and easy 2 handle all day. I would reccomend to anyone looking for a professional grade rod without breaking the bank."

"Before I sing it's praise, let me tell you what I'm using. I have two 6' medium heavy versions, one green and one blue. I matched them both to Shimanos New Curado-D 201 series reels, and spooled them both with 50-pound Power Pro. This combination gives me an extremely light weight low profile casting rod, that is compact enough to fit in a small car. I fish both fresh and saltwater, in both Florida and Texas year round. In Florida I fish the Mangroves,Backwaters, Flats, and Deep Open waters of the Gulf. I have pulled in everything from Reds, Snook, Small Tarpon, Jacks, Catfish, Snappers, and Sharks with just a quick change of my terminal tackle. I have used all three colors, but I am more partial to the Red Power Pro. In Texas I fish both Lake and Gulf, pulling in large Hybrid Bass, and Flounders with the same great results. If your looking for the best All-Around Rod that is both super light, and extremely strong then this the rod for you. Believe me when I say this will be the last rod you will ever have to buy, because the company actually stands behind their products. I am an avid Fisherman, and have felt the sting of many other brands. If your anything like me, you must always have the latest and greatest gadget. I have since learned my lesson when it comes to rods,and am sticking to a good thing. Well, that's not exactly true; I have just ordered the upgraded GL3 Rod, and will keep you posted as to how the extra $50 affects the Rod."

"this rod is definatly the best rod i own i have recomended to all of my friends and i already have three people that have ordered it it has great response. i've been fishing shimano and diawa all my life but this rod really stands out from any of the others, its also really licht weight so its great for a long day on the lake"
