"If they (snook, reds, jacks, and blues) don't want a walking lure try these...a great all-round popping bait...right there with the Rapala Skitter Pop BUT a much more sturdy bait. Keep plenty of these on hand in most any of the colors."

"I fish Florida Bay in the middle keys, and this lure always brings in fish. It is great for sea trout, spanish, cero, and king mackerel. The jack crevalles and bluefish absolutely beat the heck out it. Several times have hooked two fish on the same lure. Makes a ton of noise and splashes a lot, so it is a great lure to gauge the action in a new spot. I would recommend it to anyone that fishes the bay. The silver mullet has been the most effective, but every color I have purchased has worked."

"I recently uesed the red/white chug bug for freshwater stripers. I had strike after strike with many missing and then coming back for more. This product outfished everything else by 3 to 1. The slip weight made it cast like a bullet and the dressed rear treble was and added attractant. Great lure!"

"You can't go wrong with one of these poppers. I have used different sizes and colors of these. My favorite color is silver and black back. It casts far, and it caches fish, more than other poppers of comparable price. I like this lure, and you will too.
Bass, northern, you name it. Whatever hits a topwater will like this popper."

"This is the best lure I have ever used. It will catch fish like crazy. Almost unfair!
I use the 14/15oz for targeting stripers. The only downfall is having to replace them as they get hit so often by stripers and blues that the finish comes off. That is a good problem to have I suppose. All colors have worked but the silver mullet is tops. Buy this lure!!!"

"Top water fishing here in SC is really my passion and I have added this excellent lure to my other "stand-by's": the Trophy Scumfrog and the BPS TopKnocker...all a bit different and seem to get varying results on top water action. The Chug Bug has a bit smaller, very sharp treble hooks and works well on quick, slashing hits even from small fish. I seldom miss a bass when they hit the 'Bug. Not for pitching into the brush or lily pads...this covers a nice gap between frog and buzz-bait. The 08 color is a winner."

"this Lure is great, I'll cast it first thing because the bass can't resist this lure, even if theres no action on the water. The bass will hit this hard!! I was catching fish first cast. great popping action, and the hooks are really strong too. I would definitely recommend this lure in every tackle box. It doesn't matter what color you get, cuz we were all using different types, and we all got the same reaction."

"I picked up one of these this spring and it has caught more big fish for me then any other lure I ever fished. I finally lost mine when a large fish got into some thick weeds, I wanted that lure back so bad I went swimming in the grass to get the fish out, but my line broke right before I could grab the fish. Believe me if you need this style of a lure buy this one!!!"

"this lure is simply amazing! i bought it at a local tackle store down on cape cod and i only recomend it for salt water. stripers love it, the best color for them is chrome blue and i have also caught some huge blues too.(i use black for them) juss a couple of pops and wham!!!! fish on baby!"
