Standing in the waves and chunking metal all day puts a heck of a strain on the old shoulder. So does hauling that 40-pounder to the beach. G.Loomis Surf Rods put the weight advantage on your side. Each is incredibly light - much easier to handle than garden-variety surf rods - but also innately powerful, with a sensitivity factor that lends itself to a wide range of lure choices. Best of all, these rods recover extremely quickly on the cast, reducing line friction for maximum distance and accuracy. A superb selection for the serious surf caster.Action:M = MediumH = HeavyMH = Medium Heavy

The best spinning surf rod I have!,February 28, 2007
By Pauliefrom Boston
"I have 23 rods and my G Loomis 11 ft surf rod has some serious distance! Blows away all my other rods. Even my top end Lamiglas rods. It's light and I can toss tins and plugs for 3-4 hours with no fatigue. It's paired with a Daiwa Emblem reel with 30lbs PowerPro braid. My friends are impressed with this rod and they're gonna get the same 11 footer I got. Pricey, but worth every penny! G Loomis IS one of the top dogs in the business. Highly recommend their craftsmanship and quality. I'm gettin' some more from them!"

Top of the Line!,October 5, 2006
By BklynFishnfrom Brooklyn
"I've been a bait fisherman for most of my life, but got into plugging about 2 years ago. Spent some money on the cheaper deals like Tica, but I finally decided to treat myself to a "top of the line rod." I have a 1264S - great for smaller plugs. It's light enough to cast with all day, casts an amazing distance and puts great action into the lures as well as fighting the fish. It's everything I expected and more."
