Advantages: User friendly, Value for money
"Recently had my spare tire stolen for a boat landing.
Tho anything can be stolen if someone wants bad enough, the cost of the lock is cheap unlike a spare tire and rim."

Disadvantages: Difficult to use, will not fit over most lugnuts
"This will not work with most lug nuts. You will have to buy a lower profile lug nut so that the cover will fit over it."

Disadvantages: have to drill out hole to use
"Second one I bought. First one lasted about 6 years and eventually just wouldn't open. Pried it off with lug wrench.
On both of them I had to drill out the hole to accomodate a full-sized spare tire.
For the price, it should deter a potential thief long enough for them to possibly move on to another unprotected tire."

"This is a great product, the reason i only gave it 3 stars is if your wheel stud is too long you either have to cut it down or do what I did. Drill the center hole out so the wheel stud extends thru the lock. Buyer beware you might have to modify this item, but a little modification to this $6.99 part will save you over $150.00 or more for a new spare."
