OKAY...but,May 13, 2009

Advantages: Value for money Disadvantages: Uncomfortable
"I used these boots for work where we are in and out of the water all the time. There are some aspects of the boot I do like. They have a pretty good sole on them, which makes climbing up and down muddy backs easier. They are also fairly comfortable to wear. I have been in them for 10 hours a day before, and my feet were just fine. The reason I only gave three stars is because they allow gravel to get in, even with the garders over them. This is not only very uncomfortable, but could lead to puntures in your waders... which then defeats the purpose. Overall, I feel like they are a decent product for the price, but there are some models out there which seem to be a little better for the same money."

"Bought a pair of these wading boots from my local BassPro store after buying a pair for my 11 year old son. They were on sale for 25% off. These boots were very comfortable while trout fishing and I even forgot that I had waders and boots on! Great value for the price!"

"used these today for several hrs sloshing around in waist-high 40 degree temp river (GA) and stayed completely dry. just getting into fly fishing and couldn't be happier with the results of these boots. (frankly, I expected them to leak because of the price). Great buy."

"Comfy for all day fishing, but wear in warmer water or from the bank. Not doable for steelhead weather or glacier/snow runoff. Get the felt, the sole w/o it is scary slippery. But if you only want to spend 30 bucks, its fine as long as you understand the use cases."

"These wading boots are very comfortable. They support your heel so if you slip in the current you don't sprain an ankle. The felt bottoms keep you from slipping in trout streams."

"This is the first pair of wading boots I have ever owned. Previously all my waders came with built in boots. I find them very comfortable with a decent amount of traction. They are easy to slip on and off but stay on your feet even when you find a muddy patch. I would recomend them to anyone jsut starting out"

"Inner sole linings came loose after just a couple of uses. Poor traction. Not a snug fit...you'd have to have incredibly thick feet and ankles for these to fit snugly."

Value so good, buy both sole types,July 24, 2006

"I purchased a set of White River Fly Shop Breathable Waders 2 years ago in the Orlando Florida store while there on vacation. I also purchased both a rubber sole and a felt sole pair of the RedHead Wading Boots.
My home streams are sand or gravel bottoms so are well suited to the rubber soles. The felt soles really shine on the moss covered rocks in places like the Miramichi in northen New Brunswick where I go salmon fishing.
I have used them for 1 1/2 seasons now and I'm very pleased with the performance. They are extreamly comfortable even when worn for the whole day and at the price you can't go wrong."
