These gorgeous rods were built from the ground up expressly for the inshore angler pursuing redfish, speckled trout, and snook. The HM-54 graphite blanks are laid up with a new computer-generated design for unsurpassed strength and sensitivity. The actions have been tuned for tossing lightweight lures and popping corks, and for setting the hook on a speck without ripping his lips off. More importantly, you can count on the awesome backup power to be right there when a bull red charges for an oyster bar--the strength of this blank is incredible. Premium custom lathed cork handles, together with premium Fuji® components throughout, guarantee that these beautiful rods are also serious fishing tools. Action:M = MediumMH = Medium Heavy H = Heavy IECL model rods feature a longer handle.

"I have 3 of these rods ................ 2 for spanish & king mackeral and one for inshore speckled trout and redfish. None of the 3 has ever caused me any complaint. Rinse off when you get home and they are ready to go again. Great item."

super light and versatile,April 28, 2008
By Stripermaniacfrom Kittery, Maine
"The 7ft Medium-Heavy action inshore extreme is rated for a 3/8 ounce to 2 ounce lure weight. The last quarter of this rod has a tip that is remarkably soft and limber but has the balance of an absolute brute of a backbone. I plan on using this rod for casting 1/4 ounce spinnerbaits in freshwater applications and using braided line to tackle inshore species. I bought this rod for my heavier striper lures and chucking big tarpon sized lures when I go down to the South. This rod is not only very fast tapered but is also light and sensitive. Today I felt a free-floating thin piece of seaweed only about three inches long had attached itself to my back treble hook of a 1 ounce lure by the slight change in vibration. I was surprised that such a heavy duty rod would provide such great feel. The components of this rod are excellent and the thick epoxy caoting should protect these rods for years. Be careful with the tips on these rods though, I have read mulitple review and a lot of people have snapped them off. I don't see this as an area of weakness as far as the quality of this rod goes, but rather as a soft tip that can detect light bites as well as toss smaller baits on windy days. I can't wait to but the spinning version of this rod, but to be a wise consumer I would suggest purchasing this rod as a combo with a reel. The combo price will knock $55 to 30 dollars of this total price and this rod is an absolute steel for less than $60 dollars. Is this rod worth $100 dollars or more? Probably, but when thrown in a deal for half price with a good reel like the Shimano Calcutta or Daiwa inshore you're getting an amazing deal."

Excellent Value,October 1, 2007
By Bass Hog
"I actually bought this as the combo with the 7' H action rod and the Ocean Master 4000 reel. I have to say the pairing is awesome. What a buy. The rod is fairly light and sensitive, but at the same time having enough give to take the bone crushing jolts of a big fish. My only complaint to BPS is they stopped making the heavy action rod. The heavy action with the 4000 Ocean Master reel is a perfectly balanced combo for Cobia, Kings, and the like. For freshwater, I use it for big swimbait fishing, and it works perfectly for lures up to the size of the Huddleston Deluxe 8" trout baits at 5oz. BPS, MAKE THE HEAVY ACTION AGAIN!!!!!"

Good rods,August 3, 2006
By FishMAfrom Boston, MA
"The extreme series, both fresh and saltwater, are good rods (I have five different ones). They are light-weight, sensitive and strong. I use the 7' heavy action for trolling, bait fishing and casting (Blues and Stripers mostly). It works well for all those presentations and handles good sized fish well."

Review 7 for Offshore Angler Inshore Extreme® Casting Rods
"I own several Offshore EXTREME rods and each time I purchase another reel for saltwater or EXTREME fishing, I get a Offshore Angler. Attractive, well designed and the perfect color to compliment my reel collection. EXTREMELY tough for the task, I've landed many redfish, specks, and heavy fish, and use the lighter EXTREME for Texas Bass. You won't be disappointed."

best rod for the price,June 26, 2006
By saltwater fanaticfrom georgia,florida
"i have the 6'6" with a pt baitcaster and have caught trout and many reds on this rod, and for having the shortest version of this rod i am very surprised to have never been able to cast this far meaning it has a very nice action. plenty of power for a very fast action rod and am looking forward to buying the 7' version to complete my arsenal."
