"I love this hook in size # 1 for clear water drop shoting. Was a little scared at first due to the small wire size and worried about it breaking but after many 3 lbs. plus bass and no breaks I am really impressed. Plus have to remember to apply pressure and not set the hook to keep from ripping the small hook right through the basses mouth. I also like to option to buy in 25 packs as it saves lots of money compaired to buying 6 at a time like the local tackle stores"

"These hooks are awesome. When I first saw them, i was skeptical. They looked too thin and small to handle a big bass. I wished they had a 2/0 size, but when i started using the 1/0 and started catching fish, all my worries disappeared. I was fishing a drop shot rig in 15' to 20' deep weed beds and rock ledges into deep water. I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of weeds i was picking up on the rig, and how few snags on the bottom i had. At one point i got snagged on something, and i could not get it unhooked. I tried to break off my line but whatever i was hooked on started coming up very slowly. It ended up being a 3 foot long, 10" round birch log. That little hook was fine! The next test was the 30", 5 lbs. pike that somehow got hooked without cutting the line. Like i said these hooks are awesome. They also hook the fish in the lip most of the time and are very sharp."

"These are great dropshot hooks. They are a lightwire and super sharp. Because they are so lightweight, they really impart movement from the line to the bait. I would recommend the larger sizes to also use as a wacky worm hook for the senko. The smaller hooks are too small for the thickness of the bait."

"i started to get more into finess techniques, so i picked up some of these. i feel gamatkatsu hooks are the sharpest on the market and worth the extra $$. i bought some of the red ones and the paint is coming off a little. i gues it's just a testament as to how long these hooks last and stay sharp. i always carry a wide assortment of gamatkatsu hooks for all of my fishing needs."

"A drop shot rig has become my favorite set up for deep winter Bass. Just find some deep structure they're holding to and just drift it right into their waiting bucketmouths. Now, if you want to catch those fish, you'll want to have one of these hooks tied to your line (with a Palomar knot, of course). I like the #2 hooks for Roboworms and the like. For Senko type baits, I use a #1. If you can't find these, the Gamakatsu Finesse hooks work very well for drop shotting, too. And, as always, I use red ones for deep and/or sluggish fish. Black ones otherwise.
