Northland® Whistler Jigs

Northland® Whistler Jigs

From the heart of Walleye Country comes a legend in the heart of walleye anglers everywhere. Northland Fishing Tackle, Bemidji, Minnesota, has been making innovative walleye jigs and rigging components for over a quarter of a century. From the beginning, founder John Peterson and a host of other PWT pros have worked together to develop the most innovative line of quality walleye tackle in the world. Today, it's no stretch to say that more walleyes have been taken on Northland jigs and rigs than on any other line of walleye tackle! The hottest jig in the West. Free-spinning propeller blade adds incredible flash and sound appeal, and slows the fall.

"This jig is wonderful! I have caught Largemouth bass, Smallmouth Bass, White crappie, Black crappie, Walleye, Flathead catfish, Channel catfish, and a Black Bullhead catfish on this 1 jig. Just pair a white one with a blue/white BPS tri-tail grub and get ready to pull out fish you would never expect!"

"This little jighead is AWSOME!!!

Not a lot of Walleye here in this part of Colorado so I use it almost exclusively on LM Bass; and my favorite color is black. All you have to do is add your favorite soft plastic and you’re in business. I personally add either a double tailed grub or a Berkley Gulp Alive Jumbo Leach…and HOLD ON!!!

"Me and my brother were fishing in Burke lake virginia, on second cast my brother caught this monster 7 pound largemouth this lure is good for vertical jigging or very slow troll and i wil recommend put grub or minnow on it , we caught couple of 1 or 2 pounder walleye too. Black color works good all colors are nice."

"Bought some of these jigs for a trip to Lake Kabetogama the last week of May. That little spinner made a huge difference when fishing got slow. Don't buy this if you are going to Minnesota walleye fishing, never caught a legal fish, just big walleye!"

"I had read the reviews for walleye but try these things for large as well, as well as smallmouth. Truly awesome lure when paired with a grub."

Hands down the best, February 19, 2007
By ProWalleyeTourSomeday

"For those of you looking to catch a significant number of walleye, this is the only jig you need. I have used this jig for the past 5 years in Canada and have consistently caught great numbers and sizes of walleye. As far as the size, I've used 1/8, 1/4, and 3/8 with 1/4 being my go to. Tip it with a live minnow or a gulp minnow grub and you'll have a winner. I've even tipped it with a plastic worm and caught a 27 inch walleye. Vary your retrieve and focus on chartruese, silver, or the glow pattern for the best success."

Real Winner, February 10, 2007
By WalleyeARBoy

"Lets just say if you are serious about Walleye and lots of them this is the jig for you. Whistler "heck" this little hook jig calls the fish!! Gold plated are my favorite, just a drop over the side and few small up and down motions and you hook'em every time. They have also caught spring time sauger in the great state of AR. I should know I was there!! Here fishy-fishy : )"
