Each beautifully crafted Pop-R features Rowland’s signature on the side of the lure. The dressed rear treble features hyper light-attracting strands of glitter filament for extra flash. "I use this lure for mainly bass fishing and it works like a champ i have color 56 i have been using this product for close to 6 months now and have always had a bit when i cast it out the first time i casted it out i jerked it twice and caught a nice 5 pound bass."

"I simply love top water and these make me very happy. They have great action and are easy to cast, even on heavy line with a good baitcaster rig to help reduce backlash. I replaced the hooks with Gamagatsu Red Hooks for a little better advantage."

"i used this only a hand few of times and caught 3 bass all which were over the 18 inch min. limit! i love this popper now! i plan on using a lot more this year! its only spring time and already catching bass!"

"Great Popper for running around lillies and
grass. You will always great a strike. I like to
let it sit for a few seconds ususally I do a second count and then do a downward jerk
not real hard, and it appears the chugger
is injured. Works all the time."

An absolute must for bass anglers, August 11, 2008

"The Rebel Pop-R is a bass catching classic. The tail section remains submerged giving fish a better target to zero in on and the subtle rattles inside create a noise that draws fish without the overwhelming sound of some other lures on the market. I find this lure most effective when worked slowly in low light conditions. A gentle pop, pop, followed by a pause and an even more gentle twitch of the rod tip seems to drive fish crazy. The Zell Rowland editions feature an almost holographic finish that fish prefer over the plain color schemes of previous versions. The dressed treble in the rear produces explorotory "nips" from curious fish and the sharp POP is often met with a crushing strike when followed by a deliberate and methodical pause. Every serious bass fisherman should have at least one Pop- R in their tackle box. It's an age old classic."

"Rebel makes the best popping bait made. Great action, different sizes, and good color selection. Best popping bait action you can pop it hard or soft and it stays true coming in one direction. Also nice that it comes with a dressed treble."

"When I started fishing I didn't believe that top water lure really could land largemouth bass, but this lure changed it all for me, I tied one of these on and started putting fish in the basket. These pop-r's have a good action to them and they have sharp hooks to, trust me I know, I put one in my thumb this summer :) but most of all these lures are fun! If you have never used one you don't know what you are missing, so buy one now! go try it out for your self!!!"

Amazing, July 21, 2007

"I am a huge bass fisherman and i get all these bass fishing books. When i first started wanting to read these books i read a book on topwater lures. It said get zara spook, rebel zell rowland popper, strike king buzz bait and i should be set. Well it was 110% right. I had the popper for 2 years never touched it. Today i pulled it out and said what the heck i aint catching nothing so i tide it on ( dont use a swivel for this lure it makes to nose to heavy and it sits flat) threw it out BAM 1 pounder snagged it. I tried a different spot.....Biggest bass i ever caught she was a beauty 5 pounds. Then i caught a bunch of other bass between 1-2 pounds.Get this popper, zara spook, any buzz bait or spinner bait would work, and a texas rigged soft plastic worm or lizard.

If you want to use to popper a good way to catch tons of fish use a spinning medium action rod, 14 pound test line, and NO SWIVEL."

"i have never caught so many fish. 23 largemouth bass(1-5lbs)and 29 bluegills(roughly 1lb each) in 6 hours of fishing my favorite lake. buy this a zara spook and a lunker lure buzzbait and your set for life. all colors work(ive caught fish on all of them) but my favorite is green perch. buy this lure you wont regret it (PS all fish i caught were released so i did not damage my lake)"
