"I bought the rod to go along with my new G. Loomis reel. Match made in heaven. This rod has brought in almost 100 trout since I bought it about 4 months ago. It is continually dependable, easy to break down and put together as well as travel with. I have the 5wt, 2-piece. It has amazing action and great casting range. I'm saving up now for my next one, an 8wt for bass and steelhead. I would highly recommend this to anyone."

Good For Begginer or Pro,February 11, 2009

"Im fairly new at fly fishing and have had other rods before. Just the cheapies which worked fine for the time being. Then I recently got this White River Hobbs Creek and it is amazing. I have the 9 foot one. The sensitivity is just right and it can make an ok caster feel like a pro. It is super light and fatigue is'nt an issue with this pole. If you have a tight budget or just want a good fly rod I highly recommend this pole."

"i am an experienced fly fisherman and i fish for bass and tie my own flies. my dad wanted to get into fly fishing to so i bought him this rod in an 8wt 9'. i was very impressed with it. it looks good fishes good, and it has a moderate action that is good for beginners. i even use it sometimes. i fish with a white river classic. yes i could buy a more expensive rod but i couldnt buy a better one"

Hobbs Creek Fly Rod,November 27, 2006

"I have been fishing with the 7' 4wt for two months now, and am very happy with it. The action is medium slow which fits my relaxed casting style quite well. If you are the kind of person who likes to feel the rod loading this is the rod for you. The rod is very light in the hand and I can cast all day without tiring. Several of my friends have tried it and plan on getting one for themselves. The only fault I can find in it is it makes want to buy another one in a heavier weight for bass fishing."
