"I only got to use this lure for two casts because on the second cast i hooked a nice bass which proceeded to take it into sawgrass and tangle itself up. I got in to try and get it but when I got there I pulled it and the line snapped, releasing the fish with the lure in its mouth.... Great lure with awesome action though!"

"The ones I recently ordered from Bass Pro were to replace the little spoons I've lost in years past. These spoons are among the most effective lures I've ever used on white bass, and they are light enough to be cast with a fly rod using a short leader. Great fun!"

"While doing a little research online for a good, simple pike lure, I found a lot of people recommending this one. At $7 a pop I was a little hesitant to make the purchase but decided to give it a shot... and wow!
My first cast ever with this lure landed a 4lbs pike.
Between my buddy and I fishing this same lure, we landed 5 pike and 2 largemouth in about 20 mins.
We were using the red/white lure.

"These spoons are great. Although, they are expensive, these are the only spoons I use. I think they outlast and outfish any other spoon on the market, and their paint job lasts the longest. I think the best colors are the hammered nickel/blue. On Lake Michigan, I will use the same spoon to catch Yellow Perch and Steelhead. Also, spawning King Salmon can't resist."

"I always start out using a worm, wasn't catching much just some sunfish. after an our of sunfish, through out the black with white stripe, reeled in kinda fast. Caught 5 walleye in ten minutes. All pretty decent sized but i threw them back, they were fun to catch! BUY NOW!!!"

"I go to Northern Canada every July in search of a 50" Pike. The largest so far is a 48" Pike (caught and released). I'm still looking for the big one. Since there is a 50 lb. weigh restriction on your luggage, I only take what I know will caught big fish, and the only spoons that go with me are Dardevles."

"Not much to say here. This lure just flat out works. Primary species is Northern Pike for me and over the years I've learned to do much more than just cast it & retrieve. One mistake I commonly see is to retrieve too fast which causes the spoon to spin. For best results it should wobble and not spin. Try trailers & even changing to a single hook (better for banging on rocks to trigger strikes)"

"Bought those last year for pike fishung but first time used them for last two trips and im greatly surprised!!!!I know they are best pike lures but last week I cought 5 largemouth bass in 30 min. with five of diamonds in 3/4 oz size.Went out today and caught another 8 largemouth with same spoon and 4 of them where more than 15 inch long.First I was using rapala x rap today and got two smaller bass but then with daredevle first three casts three basses it was crazy!!!Never knew they are working great on bass"

"To me the sign of a truly great lure is one that you can tie on, having never used it before, and get bit immediately. Thirty years ago I did just that. Went to Canada for my first time and at 8 years old, was able to cast this spoon like a dream and be rewarded with hundreds of northern pike during an unforgettable week. I'm certain many colors would work, but for me there is just something special about that classic red and white stripe! They also are quite durable...thirty years and I still have my originals with their original hooks. Try a couple of them in Canada and you will be pleased with the results."

"i have expreimented with many different brands of spoons, and ive noticed that none of them even compare to the daredevil. the best colors for me are red/white, black/white, and yellow/red diamonds. i get those colors the 3/4 oz size . they are so many different techniques to fish it, and they usually all work. i caught tons of fish on these classic lures. usually pike and big bass. even stripers,crappie, and the occasional catfish. I would highly recommend this bait . the only problem is that theyre a little pricey for a spoon."

"These are my Dads favorite spoons, especially the red/white spoon 3/4 - 1 oz., he catches plenty of Nothern Pike on this color and from what I can tell, they have the best action compared to other spoons. Don't go cheap on spoons because these ones catch the most fish! My Dad inspired me to start using them so I ordered a couple different sizes and colors!"
