Worden's® Sonic Rooster Tail® Lures
Sonic Rooster Tail combines the colorful hackle tail made famous by Worden's original Rooster Tail with a french-style spinner blade and weighted brass or silver body. As the blade spins through the water, it sends off a fish-attracting rattle and hum. The lure's noise and light-reflecting action is uniquely different from that of the original Rooster Tail, making the Sonic Rooster Tail a real fish getter.

"I bought this roostertail a few months ago and went up to the mountains and caught several trout with this 1 roostertail, I even was just fooling around and let the current spin the spinner without reeling in and within seconds I caught a good 17 in rainbow trout.

Catch anything lure,

"I have used red sonic rooster tails all my adult life fishing mostly in the Pocono Mountains. No matter what the conditions I always catch fish with this lure. (Pickrel, bass,perch) I used it in my small pond by my home and caught several bass and a six pound cat fish! My two sons and I fished northern Ontario and when all our multitude of lures gave us moderate success we tried old faithful and caught about 400 fish that week on red rooster tails.(Many large northern pike, walleyes, and small mouth.) We used these so much during the week that by the time we left we only had a couple of the lures left and the feathers had been chewed off and they only had one or two barbs left on the hooks. Next time we go to Canada we will bring a large supply of these killer lures. Please make them bigger for those really big pike!"

"People don't believe I can catch chanel cat with this lure. I've had them hit it almost as soon as it hits the water. Everyone says you can't catch cats with a lure....Wrong..They love it. Using it in small community lakes/ponds."

"I have caught bass,trout,perch,crappie,sunfish,pickerel, and river eels with this lure. I just wish they made them much larger for really big fish.
I have searched for a long time for this lure. Bass pro is the only place i can find it.

Yes It Works-Too Well Actually!,

"I have to agree with everyone who has posted a review completely. Last weekend we went to the mountains to go for some trout. Man I have all the Power Baits and Berkly trout baits and even live worms were nosed up on by the fish that were jumping about 10-20 feet out. I have lots of other trout spinners and minnows, etc. nothing. As soon as I came across this one to try which was the red bang! Wow! Trout and Bass nailing this lure left and right. They could not stay off this lure. One of the guys there who fished the lake for years saw the Bass that I threw back and said, "I've fished here for years and never was I aware there were Bass in this lake, less likely a good size as the one you threw back!
Most everyone else fishing around me was mad and was giving me dirty disgusted looks when a large trophy trout was next on line. A few people that were there all day got mad and left. Some came over asking what I was using. I said, "oh a home made lure". Hey I'm not gunna give the tips away, but I can say this lure is a great little secret to use and upset people!"

Best In-Line Spinner You Could Buy,

"This lure is awsome!!!!!!! Casts well for it"s size. Blade starts easily, great flash. I've caught lake perch, rockbass and coho salmon. Just let it sink to desired depth and bring in slowly. If they see it they'll hit it. That's for sure."

Great Spinners,

"These spinners rock. Used the 1/16 on ultra lite gear and had a blast. Leave the live bait home, these things will catch anything from panfish, bass, to northern pike. I wasn't catching anything till I tied one of these on. The white ones and chartreuse ones worked great for me. Will be ordering more today!"

It Catches Everything!!!,

"I'm getting to the point that I hardly ever tie on anything else as these spinners seem to work on everything. Almost every time I tie one on I outfish everyone with and around me. It is never long before I'm being asked if there are anymore of these in my tackle box. As I tend to fish with relatives and good friends, or occassionally with scouts in our local troop, I find myself feeling obligated to share some of the time. Nothing works better on panfish or trout. Just to list the species that I've personally caught with the Sonic R.T. are as follows; trout (rainbow, cutthroat, brook, Apache & brown), bluegill, crappie, bream, northern pike, catfish (channel, flathead, & yellow bullhead), carp, perch, bass (largemouth, smallmouth, & stripped), roundtail chub, grayling, trigger fish and many other saltwater fish that I could not even begin to identify in Rocky Point, Mexico, and finally a mexican free-tailed bat (a long story). On most trips now I only pack one medium weight rod, two ultralights, and a medium sized tackle box full of Socnic Rooster Tails. I find that I rarely use anything else when I go so why lug extra gear I don't need along."
