have a soft mouthed dog, May 13, 2009
By ShakeandBake from Americus , GA

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well
Disadvantages: Durability

"this is a great product and with the scent injection kit it works great but be sure you train your dog with a soft mouth with a nail ball or something and it then is unbeatable."

Dogs love it, but it doesn't hold up, March 13, 2008
By Park

"My lab absolutel loves retrieving the dummy, but after only a couple uses it started to fall apart. I don't know if was a faulty product or what, but the foam started tearing apart. My dog has a soft mouth and has never mutilated birds, but after a couple times the Dokkens was pretty mutilated. As far as intriguing the dog: excellent. As far as overall quality: poor."

good product, July 19, 2006
By davicont from ontario

"fowl trainer mimics dead duck, and my dog was fairly interested untill he saw real ducks swimming by. Good quality, doesnt fall apart like every other thing that ends up in my dogs mouth. Good tool for dogs starting to retrieve"

Great training aid!, July 11, 2006

"Fantastic trainer- my lab went crazy for it as soon as I brought it out. We had him training in the weeds with the available scent on the bird and he found it right away every time."

Dokken Dead Fowl Trainer - Mallard Review, July 11, 2006
By Waterfowl Huntress from Maryland

"I purchased this item over 2 year ago. My golden retriever took to it immediately! The loose head mimics real life situations and the weight is ideal for ducks in the MD area. The only thing I will say about this duck is that after about a year and a half...it's life is pretty much up. The head of ours has fallen off and I have taped it on until I purchase a new one. They are expensive but this is worth it considering some of the bland trainers available out there."
