"I bought this originally for my 77 year old Father who's fingers are not as nimble as they once were. I quickly found out that I needed two more. One for myself and one for my little boy (so Daddy can fish instead of tying new knots all day!!!). This thing is one of those "How did I get along before" items."

Don't go fishing without one!,February 4, 2008
By Freedomfisherfrom Freedom, In
"A friend of mine turned me on to this and I have bought 2 now and will not go fishing with out if I can help it. I go crappie fishing in Reelfoot lake at least once a year and there are a lot of snags so you are constantly re-tying this tool makes it so much easier."

Good tool for light line,September 10, 2006
By JustaTennesseanfrom Kingston, TN
"I never had trouble with fishing knots, but when I changed my predominant fishing from bass (10 lb test and up) to fly fishing for trout (4 lb and under test), I struggled with tying knots with such fine, limp lines and lures that had no significant weight to pull against. I've also reached an age where seeing up close is more and more challenging as well.
I picked up this tool in hopes that it would help me with those tiny lines, and it really did help. Clinch knots and double surgeons knots are much easier to tie, faster, and with less fumbling. For my purposes, I wish it were a little smaller and the action a little smoother, but it does work. I believe I could even tie with gloves on if I needed to.
If super thin lines are giving you trouble, I'd recommend this tool. Well worth the price."

Awsome tool,July 16, 2006
By Gripfastfrom ST. Thomas Ont.
"I bought this tool at a fishing show years ago. I was skeptical as the saleman used his quick reflexes to accomplish well known knots that normally take me several tries and a lot longer to fumble through. The knot tyer appeared to create a text book perfect knot every time with only a couple quick flicks of the wrist. Well, I relunctantly bought the the knot tying tool, determined to give it a try. The instructions were easily interpretted and put into practice. It works awsome, everytime. A couple of months ago, I lost my knot tyer in a friends boat. I thought that I would just get by without one. I went away on a walleye fishing trip in May and had to fumble through my knots by hand. Well needless to say I was happy to see BassPro Shops carrying this tool. I'm going musky fishing on Lake Nippissing this weekend and will be stopping by Bass Pro to pick one up. The price is the same as I paid twelve years ago at a fishing show. Way to go, Bass Pro!"
