"I started using Berkley XT about 12 years ago. I bought some other line on a whim one day. It made me remember why I only use this line. It is the toughest mono made PERIOD. I fish nothing else and never will. I once horsed a 25 pound salmon up a sandbar on the edge of a river with 12lb. test. The fish was so heavy I was afraid I'd break my rod so I held the spool and walked backward with the rod pointed at the fish. The line did not break! Not even at the knot! A+++++ Thank you Berkley!!!"

"I love this line! I use the 17/20# line it casts well and I can fish it in the wood without worrying about breaking off. I buy the bulk spool because I re spool often. I would recommend using the line on baitcasters though."

"I have used this line since I was little. This is the only thing I use when I go fishing, because it is the most durable line i have used. I use 12 lbs. line and 17 lbs. and the line has only broken a couple of time, and it has been by carp."

Great Abrasion Resistance,November 17, 2007

"I have used XT for years when I need a line that has good abrasion resistance. It will take quite a beating through weed beds and underwater trees and stumps. It also holds up well on the rip rap rock piles near bridges and levee retaining structures. For years I could only find the green color and I noticed that it now comes in clear too. It is an excellent choice for live bait fish near any kind of structure or when you need to quickly turn a running fish and it works very well for flipping heavy jigs into the lilly pads or other structure for the big bass that are harder to catch."

A great line for trolling,February 18, 2007

"Trilene XT line is without equal when it comes to value. I troll for walleyes and use only Trilene XT. It performs perfectly, and is much tougher than you would think a monofilament line could be. I do most of my fishing in waters infested with Zebra Mussels which are very tough on line, but with care, this line works great."
